Doesn't matter, Idzik won't get rid of a young and improving player in Harrison for a 32-33 year old Wilfork, and for good reason.

Harrison over Vince. I can't believe it. If you had a chance to get him like BB with Revis and even when the Jets signed Favre you have to jump on it. You always take a chance. Even with Revis in his second season off of a major injury BB is counting on Darrelle covering half a field in man to man like he did with us. You can't run on Wolfork when he's healthy.

PFF ranked Harrison as a top 5 DT and the overall best run stuffer. "ok not great" is more like "well above average with the potential to be elite." Also, he's 7 years younger, not coming off of a devastating injury and he's a home grown player. Also, I really, really, really want to know what grounds you used to call Vince Wilfork "probably the best NT in NFL history."

I agree on Clemons. My take on DRC is it depends on what he is asking. But we do very much need a CB and it amy be worth it to overpay. I am just not sold on DRC's being a depndable CB that we can count on playing consistently well. In regards to Jones I would rather just see Woody dump the money out of an airplane than give it to Jones. MJD does not seem to fit what the Jets are trying to do in investing in younger players with upside. But I bet he will be cheap just look at the deal the Browns got on Tate at 3.5 a year. MJD will give Geno a dangerous 3rd down receiving option out of the back field and that might make a difference in slowing down the rush. Besides Clemons and a CB our next biggest need is a guard. Our OL was one of the worst in the league last year and it looks even worse right now. But the same could be said for our pass defense.

Harrison isn't great and those kind of ratings are questionable. And who is PFF. Just another football blog. I don't think there's question about Wolfork being great. IMO the greatest based my watching the guy for ten years. And who says you can't keep them both.

    Stat
Statistically even including his "stint" in Phi he has been a lot more consistent then Antonio. All though the popular opinion seems to say different.

I hate this stat for ANY team.

It's so misleading. When you have a lead late in the game, what do you do? You run the ball. Every team (just about) has a better record when they rush for more yards because they usually pick those yards up protecting a lead and playing safe.

Hmmm, not really a need for them. If he signs with the Giants for under 8 I'll be pissed.

You actually believe what he writes? He's been wrong on every player so far this year. He's no better than that Bob guy.

Exactly... he fits perfectly. Verner was a bad fit for us I'm glad we passed on him

Really dont like the sounds of that. Was hoping DRC would be a priority at this point.

Wonder who will be next in line if drc signs outside of the Jets.

Who's PFF? Um, who the fuck are you? PFF is an advanced statistical breakdown of a players ability. Is it perfect? Of course not, but it sure as hell is better than you watching a player on TV and evaluating them.

Harrison is a great run stopper, one of the best in the league. And that's his role, he isn't asked to rush the passer. We have Kenrick Ellis backing him up who is also one of the best run stuffing DT in the league.

LOL We are not going there are we.? So many are pissing and moaning that the Jets are not filling holes in free agency, blah, blah, blah, but we should throw away good dollars on the one area of NO need with Wilfork, albeit a perennial pro bowler he is trying to come back from a serious injury. Why? when we have two young and perfectly capable NTs. Do we want to stick it to NE? , lets get top OLB help or a good CB to slow Brady the fuck down, and then MJD with Goodson and Ivory to run the living shit out of the ball or throw short passes to our backs while Revis sits patiently in his lonely little $14M island with no action.

Manish is a fool, hopefully he is wrong. I honestly think Incarcerated Bob is better then him at this point.
