Giants have 11 million in cap room, Jets have 32.5 I believe ? DRC knows who can give more money.

true, but what can they spend in the long term?

DRC isn't the be all and end all the problem is the CB market is almost completely dried up. Decker was understandably priority number one but a corner was number two and so far Idzik hasn't come through.

Was led to believe that the Wilk signing won't be until next year because of the 5th year option.

It's funny how many fans on here are thrilled that we have $40-$50M in cap space and CAN'T WAIT to spend it but that's exactly why we have that much jack...Idzik don't blow his load on ANYBODY.

    He's just not that desperate.

    Yet.

I would sign DRC, James Jones or Sanders, and maybe someone like Strief to play guard and call it an off season. Maybe sign someone like Owen Daniels to a cheap contract to play TE while also drafting one.

That's a stretch no? Not even a week into FA and you guys are freaking out. There's a long way to go before week 1 and nobody has a clue what will happen.

If we don't sign DRC we will draft a corner in one of the first two rounds.

is that an assurance? i'm not sure it is. rookie CB's have their own learning curve to go through and Idzik won't juts draft for need.

I'd sooner think the jets would have Walls and Wilson compete for a starting spot than draft for need.

Imagine the bitching if we pass on Lee, Evans and Ebron to take a corner.

Cromartie, Thurmond, Bailey, Rogers still out there. Not as good as DRC but not as expensive let Idzik work his magic

Having really good DE's that are homegrown is good becaue those are the positions that usually get paid the most in free agency. If we can lock up those guys long term it will benefit us in the long run

They're a joke. Since day 1 of free agency, they've proceeded like morons. Rex's D centers around the CB position, so this moron of a GM will make sure they are lacking at that position. Yeah, he'll work his magic. He's and imbecile and the organization is cheap. Case closed.
