Colts signed Nicks to a 1 year deal.

I would have tried to get Nicks if he was only asking for a 1 year deal, but I wonder if he simply wanted out of the New York media.

I never really wanted Nicks. We don't need another Holmes like attitude on this team

NFL | Medical concerns for Emmanuel Sanders?
    Fri, 14 Mar 2014 15:44:37 -0700
There are medical concerns surrounding free-agent WR Emmanuel Sanders (foot), meaning he may not get the type of deal he was seeking in free agency. He has a screw in each foot after injuries he suffered in the Super Bowl following the 2010 season. Sanders is reportedly seeking a contract similar to the five-year, $31.5 million deal that WR Golden Tate received from the Detroit Lions. The Pittsburgh Steelers are open to re-signing him, but he'll likely have to accept a much shorter deal.

Nicks wanted to go somewhere with a QB that is going to be slinging it around a lot and that is likely to be a contender so that he can look good and secure a big long term deal - there is no way he would come to NY "20 throws max a game" Jets on a similar deal.

correct plus he needs to prove he can play a healthy season.

I read that he said he would go to the Giants depending on how the meeting with the Jets goes. Could be more of a thing to put pressure on the Jets to not come in with a lowball offer. I don't think the Giants really have the cap space to sign him that easily, they would have to restructure Eli coming off of a terrible season. I think the Jets will make him an offer around $8m - $8.5m and he'll take it. Rex has got to be saying "Okay, we passed on Revis, but at least give me DRC."

Will Decker feel disrespected if we give DRC more money than him?

Is 8m what people are expecting for him? I haven't been following much about DRC as I have been extremely busy. I was thinking 5-.5 - 6.5
