Outside of James Jones (which has gone silent) and the Pettigrew situation (which hasnt been updated for a couple hours) I havent seen any updates on what the Jets are doing. I'll go back to scouring through Twitter like I have been for a couple days now, I'll report back with any kind of news of what direction we're going in.
@MMehtaNYDN: Sources: Jets have had numerous conversations w/ free-agent WR Emmanuel Sanders, who has already visited Jags. TB next. #NYJ NOT after that
Captain Munnerlyn signed with Vikings,I gotta say the Jets really dropped the ball and I'm not Impressed with Idzik at all.According to reports Revis wanted to come back here and his people reached out to Jets maagment but the Jets wanted nothing to do with him so he signed with Pats people don't understand this he tryed to come back.Cimni said Jets want nothing to do with Revis
We have players like Antonio Allen a try at SS, no doubt we need depth at CB, but I don't see why we can't give Walls an opportunity. We need a free safety.
Definitely Sanders over Jones. Younger, faster and getting better every year. I hope the Jets get him.
This would be of the cheapest and biggest impact signings we could make. A true cover safety that could stop teams from beating us deep like last eyar would go a long ways to improving our pass defense. We have 3 big needs right now: FS CB OG Address those needs and we will have great flexibility in the draft.
Antonio Allen was starting at SS not FS. Before Reed came, Landry was starting at FS. When Reed came, Landry went back to his natural SS position while Reed went to FS. Landry can play both spots. Allen started 1 game as a FS. http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/nfl/7489/antonio-allen
Lol u really belive he has a plan?Mr T made some bad moves his last two years but one thing I know for sure is We woulda signed Verner,Tate ,Decker so far if he was around or something similiar to that. There's no one left to sign besides 4th tier players
Is signing another WR even necessary as they'll be some great options at 18 or even in the 2nd? Kerley is a fine slot receiver and Nelson looks like a good fourth option. I'd like to see the money invested into other positions.
If Mr T was still here, God help us all, he would not have signed jack shit. We would have had zero cap room, and he would have been busy screwing around with Revis as a hold out for the nth time and restructuring contracts of other players to meet the demands of that greedy bastard and get us into further cap hell.
He would have signed those guys and then 2 of them would have likely flamed out. It'll be interesting in a year or 2 who will stand by their harsh criticisms when we have hindsight and can tell who actually became a good signing...Holmes was a great trade and contract, Revis was a terrible trade (according to many when those moves happened)...relax people.
Well its past eight o'clock in NY, no reports of any late dinner, so I'm assuming we are not signing anyone today. Damned it.
