Assuming we can get Decker for a reasonable price a WR trio of Evans, Decker, and Kerley would be light years ahead of what we had last year.
However, I think Evans falling all the way to 18 is a pipe dream.

Everything that has happened so far indicates we won't overpay for anyone,. The reason we didn't sign Howard is because the Raiders gave a 5 year $30+ million deal to him, considered by most to be overpaying. Byrd got an insane amount of money and he's not something we desperately need right now. It makes sense that we'd be interested in MJD who will be a small contract, and that we'd look at Decker who is considered by nearly everyone to be the best WR available. Not to mention CB is a need for us right now, and we have so much more space than last year, don't be surprised if we bring in Revis. It really makes sense for everyone involved at this point, and I think Idzik would consider it because he is healthy now, and there is years of proof that Rex would be able to maximize Revis' potential.

and that half that arent addressed in the draft?

you make it sound like we can overpay at WR for marginal #2 talent just because we have the money to spend. thats a really poor way to approach free agency.

The defense cost them home field advantage and that AFC title game would've been much different if it was played in foxboro. Also might've been different if Talib was out there as well.......

Not to mention the defense has cost them numerous titles since 03

They could use better weapons on offense that's for sure. But if it was me running that team I'd take my chances that Brady can make it work with less. Especially if you pair him up with a much better secondary and therefore defense in general

Common theme here is EVERYBODY is getting overpayed. The Jets need to learn that nobody is going to come at a bargain basement price

manish says source indicates revis to the pats is gonna happen.

that would pretty much ruin the offseason for me. and probably the season as well. you cant let the pats get an elite player at their biggest position of need when its also our biggest position of need.

that would be a kick to the nuts big time

We just don't tailor the offense well enough for Kerley, i agree with you, he would be much more dynamic, if we played more to his strengths, then fed the outsode guys.

sure they will. day 1 guys always get overpaid cause the market isnt set. now that some teams have filled their needs and there are less teams bidding on the remaining players the prices come down a bit.

what player who has been signed, other then byrd, would you have wanted at what they got paid? all i can think of is talib, and even then thats 26M gauranteed for a guy who hasnt been healthy

Any realistic chance (i.e. cap ramifications) that we land both Decker AND Tate?
