yeah Carmelo was just resting. He was supposed to play and then a couple of hours before the game the Knicks decided to sit him. Theoretically they should be better with him but he's played most of the season and they've been awful with him as well. That game in London, the Bucks blew the Knicks starters off the court. Now I'm reading he doesn't play back to backs but the info was not out there until they scratched him yesterday. Gotta love the fan voting. Carmelo and Kobe voted into the starting lineup despite having awful seasons. At least Kobe is out.
Yup I'm still holding to my theory Carmelo is gonna play the All Star game and then call the season. He wants to play it
hahaha http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/tix/4867145042.html "Additional bonus perks: 1. Getting to watch Carmelo hold the ball and slow down the already slowest offense in the league before he eventually hoists up a horrendous shot that does not go in. 2. Watching him complain in an uproar why a foul wasn't called even though it was probably a wide open, ill-advised three point attempt. 3. Watching Derek Fisher throw a temper tantrum because the refs ignore him calling timeouts. 4. Watching the team implode and fight with each other as has already been reported, only up close and in person. 5. Hearing Mike Breen (nearby and on the tvs right in front) talk about the good things the Knicks did and how close they are to turning it around, while simultaneously waxing poetic about how amazing the refs are. "
I must listen to a different Mike Breen? He constantly is criticizing (in a polite manner) the Knicks for playing bad basketball. He does protect the refs a tad (because he has to do that with JVG), but he calls a bad call a bad call. Probably the only highlight of the season, him and Clyde
Knicks now won 4/5. Galloway and Thomas have been decent, which is more than you can say for most of the rest of the team. Still believe the Knicks and Melo rest him after the ASB and then boom the tank comes back
There's actually speculation of KD coming to the nyk in the summer of '16... I was sold he would end up in DC with wall and beal since that's where he was originally from
^ Yeah I read that, I don't buy it yet. The Knicks and Lakers are ALWAYS used as leverage or a threat.
Knicks beat the Lakers, have won 5 out of their last 7. Actually look like a semi competitive NBA team instead of a D League. Not sure what Fisher did, but team is playing more focused basketball than earlier this year when they won 5 games out of 40.
The Warriors had Monta Ellis at the time too! The Timberwolves must be kicking themselves. Back to back PGs and overlooked Curry.
I play basketball w/ him(and have w/ his son as well) from time to time. Hopefully he can pull through. which son?
Hoping the best for AM, in'94 AM ran around the Garden with a Mark Messier jersey on and a big Ranger flag and encited the crowd...
