that hurts big time.. losing out on the big men and the kobe bryant-type in De'Angelo Russell. Mudiay isn't anything special. He's athletic but he can't shoot. Lots of guards just like that around the league. He will be a good player in the NBA but Russell and the 2 big men will be transcendent IMO

Here is the video (hilarious)...This is me from Legends last night making it on ESPN Sportscenter on two different segments with my reaction to Knicks getting the 4th pick (First link they are legit laughing at my misery haha). I was the one they focused in on. I'm the one in the Black polo sitting down with my friend rolling my head back in frustration.

Me on ESPN Sportscenter watching the lottery (segment 1): http://smg.photobucket.com/user/poeman/media/20150520_021713.mp4.html

Knicks can still get a VERY good player in this draft. I wouldn't be so down as a Knick fan right away ...

    1 - Towns
    2 - Okafor
    3 - Mudiay
    4 - Russell / Winslow.

    This could happen.

76ers might pick a crappy player you never know ... never liked their draft strategy anyway ... Winslow is pretty good IMO.

It would be foolish to look past the potential with weaknesses he could have now, I still remember people thinking that neither Westbrook and Curry were true point guards or that Curry didn't have an NBA body. I think with how the NBA is now a player like Mudiay could be that big PG that can drive it consistently which would be a huge weapon and his shot can come with work. It isn't like Mudiay came from nowhere, he was a huge prospect last year that was professionally ready unlike some of the prospects that are completely raw from overseas. Since we can't get a big man we must get a PG of the future.

Mudiay was ranked #1 prospect this past season and committed to SMU to play for Larry Brown, this is over Okafor, Towns, Russell.

He needed the money for his family so he chose China and played there for $1.2 million dollars.

Savy move and ballsy...He is still going top 4. He killed it in the 12 games he did play in China (18 ppg, 7 apg, 5 rbg). His flaws are consistent shooting which are the same issues John Wall and Derrick Rose had.

Dude is such a fucking baller...Larry Brown said he is the most special point guard at this age (19) he has every seen. He was excellent in his interview last night. The Knicks interviewed him right after the lottery and posted that as the only video from the lottery

Knicks are playing the smoking gun, they really like Mudiay and better take him. If we go Euro or Winslow, I give up.

If the Knicks pass on a PG in a PG driven league without a PG on our roster worth a damn, they have no idea on what they are doing

    Larry Browns comments on Mudiay

"If we had him right now, we'd be ranked one, two or three in the country,” Brown said, according to Ford.

"You need a great point guard. First and foremost I think it starts with them defending the ball. Emmanuel's 6-5, he's long, he's athletic. I think he can keep the ball in front of him. He's a pass-first point guard. He's an extra rebounder. He's not a great shooter, but, in the NBA, you have so much time to work on your shot and improve your game, his shot's not broken. I think it'll get there. I think he has it all."

"He reminds me a lot of John Wall," Brown said. "They've done a tremendous job with Jon down in Washington, he's making the people around him better. You see it with Russell Westbrook. They've added some players around him and now he's getting more and more inclined to get other people involved. I think Emmanuel's really a talent like those kids."

Brown knows PG's and PG play...Too bad he doesn't have a year or two under Larry.

Mudiay is a great defender & can penetrate and dish. He'd fit good in the triangle.

This doesn't bother me at all. Towns and Mudiay are the players I would have wanted, but we would have likely taken Okafor at the two spot. If Mudiay is there at four then it doesn't matter.

The upside to a potentially elite PG is greater than the upside of a center.

I don't get the big deal? this is not a draft w/ a Ewing or even an Anthony Davis. w/ Mudiay or Russell the Knicks will have a great draft and it's very likely they will get one of them.

I hope you guys are right about Mudiay. I view him as quite a step down from Russell & the bigs but I hope ya'll are right and I admittedly have followed less & less NBA in recent years (thanks Dolan) to properly project him I suppose.

A lot like the Jets draft it's not that there's one specific player I wanted but it's us now being out of position to do what we want. If we were to somehow get Towns/Okafor/Russell I'd be ecstatic but picking 4 now makes that nearly impossible. Even if Winslow or Muidiay are just as good as the top 3 the options are limited because of us slipping in the lottery. Rather than making our own choice at 2 or 3 we'll have to choose with what's left, that's what sucks. Regardless we will be getting a good player but it's still disappointing.

They selected Kristaps Porzingis. IDK how to react because I know next to nothing about him. I read things like in a couple years he's going to be good. He's going to be a project, but in a couple years he's going to be good. I guess from my stand point I wanted a player that is going to help NOW! Carmelo is 31 yrs old. He ain't getting any younger. Twitter knicks fans are reacting poorly to the selection but I'm gonna be fair to him and see what he can do.

That's what you get for giving a senile old has-been $12 million a year to run your team in abstentia.
