Spurs rested Duncan and Parker last night on the tail end of a back to back. They played at Philly. They were 11 point favorites anyway (line was -13 or -13.5 before the announcement), and won by 6. 11 point favorites on the road without their two best players. 76ers now 0-17 and are a cinch to get the worst record in the history of the NBA. With a for the most part fully healthy team finally. The birds have Davis, and I guess Jrue, and then a bunch of scrubs. We should have MURDERED them.
The West is going to be absolute hell. Dallas and Memphis have reached the level that the Thunder/Clippers were at last year (runners up), and then the Clippers are still there, Thunder will get into the playoffs, and now we have the Golden State Warriors lighting it up. Its insanity. Last year there was clear seperation between the Spurs, Thunder and Clippers and the rest, but now I honestly believe that the Grizzlies, Mavericks, Warriors are all that level now. And last season I never bought into the Blazers and Rockets as threats, but this trio of teams are real threats to go all the way to the finals. All of them could probably beat the best team in the East in the finals if they are healthy as of today....
Just my luck, have tickets for tonights game but my friends coming from staten island and of course there is already planned protests in lower manhatten, near the ferry in staten island and verazano bridge. Ferrys completely cluttered with NYPD and media etc. SMH
The past 2 seasons I've predicted then to breakout as a playoff team, but they just can't get it going like i imagined. So last night I thought well they can't even ever get into playoff contention so this game is in the bag, then they win by 8. Go figure.
Davis the main reason why he's a superstar maybe already a top 5 player in the league, but if not now, he will be soon
A strong argument can be made that Davis is already the third best player in the league after lebron and KD
