Yeah not sure how that works (timezones). Our clocks went back last week , I missed a good chunk of the game
Two things,,,is anyone here in the stadium rite now, how windy is it ? I am also curious to know if you see Colston inward ups or dressed at all ?
THANKS Mr Chaney,, I just read online that Colston is inactive. Is anyone here inside the stadium ? How windy is it and will it effect the game ?
Looked pretty windy from the ESPN reports of Jaws and Suzy in the stadium.. Should deff have an effect on the game.
On paper this game looks a lot like last week. We have our terrible OL vs. a good Saints pash rush. Our pass protection ranks in the bottom of the league. Our run blocking has been awful as well with Colon, Mangold and Ferguson all grading out among the 10 worst run blockers in the league according to PFF. We can't run the ball and we cannot protect the QB and we have few healthy bodies left to throw the ball to. This is a bad combination against any team but even worse with Brees on the other side of the ball. Out of 108 rated CBs this year PFF ranks Milner 107th and Cromartie 108th. Whether you put much stock in these type of stats it tells you how bad our secondary is. Brees is able to do what Dalton did and that is spread the ball around and abuse our secondary and make Rex pay for blitzes. To win we need to hit Brees and take him off his game and we need to pass the ball to help set up the run. Without a passing threat I don't see how our run game can be effective. The problem with throwing the ball down the field is the Saints pass rush is good and they hit people. They put a beating on Lewis and Buffalo last week. I don't know if the Jets will be able to give Geno the time to throw down the field. I would hope he gives Geno more of a short passing game. One of the problems with MM ball is its so aggressive he often does not give Geno any check down options. Lots of times he will leave him on an island and go all vertical. The Pitt game was a good example. I think this is one of the reasons we see Geno with such an extremely high intentional throwaway rate of between 10-25% of his passes each week being thrown away as he has no checkdown options. This game has the potential on paper to be another 30+ point blowout. Really it should be huge given our secondary and OL. But I have hope Rex and the Jets will not let it happen. My expectations are not high but I am hopeful we can play a good competitive game. I still cannot envision us winning this game. I see us at 4-5 with two huge season changing winnable games against Buffalo and Baltimore.
lol another huge play given up by Rex's defense. I think the word is out, our secondary is one of the worst in the league. Graham literally carried Jarrett like a baby into the end-zone.
You're not going to beat the Saints by kicking field goals, pathetic to be first and goal and come away with 3.
Whoooooo Hoooooooo!!! Man was I dead wrong. I won't doubt this team again. If we can beat the Saints, we can hold our own against any team remaining on our schedule. Can't wait for the second half to start!
