We need to be very aggressive when this game starts. The Patriots defense is hurt all over the place, I want to see the deep pass a lot. Im sure Marty is going to tell Geno to let it fly. I expect 250 yards + passing for Geno.
It looks like he's likely to be out. As a Patriots fan it's a shame to see what was turning out to be a pretty decent defense (finally) get hammered with injuries. Yes, it's all part of the game but...

The Jets are the fifth worst team in recovering fumbles forced, recovering only 22%. As of right now the NFL defenses overall have recovered 51% of their fumbles forced. The average NFL defense has forced 7.9 fumbles this year and the average NFL defense has recovered 4.1 fumbles defensively. So above average on forcing fumbles, below average on recovering fumbles.

Not me. You're thinking of someone else. 90% of the time, kicking a FG from the 2 is an idiotic decision. There's almost no downside to going for it in that situation ...Even if they stop you. Who would bitch about having a banged up OL backed up on their own 2 yard line?? You know that 3 points you're whining about? The fact is, if you play defense from the 2 (and we all know that Rex is Mr. defense) there's a very good chance you're getting those points on the next series anyway. There's very little upside to taking 3 points inside the 3 yard line. Personally I would NEVER do it unless it was to tie or take the lead late. We're not the Broncos. Exactly how many times do you think we're seeing the Red Zone? For THIS team especially, 19 yard FGs are suicide.
Horse manure. Rex was right on both counts. Helping a rookie QB with some points early on and about the lack of noise from so called fans. Go to Philly Oakland, or Seattle and win or loose you can hear the crowd roar every game, going back to the 4 win years.
From everything I've read on fumbles, recovering them is a 50/50 thing. So hopefully the Jets swing back towards the middle sooner rather than later

Absolutely not. Successful risk takers in life understand one simple rule: If the upside is big, and the downside is small, you take the risk. There's very little downside in going for it in that situation ... Even if you don't make it. The odds are stacked in your favor, that by going for it ... Successfully or not ... you're probably going to end up with a positive result.
This is a game the Jets should win. Every fan should be confident going into it. HOWEVER, the embarrassment that was last Sunday vs. The Steelers, has barely anyone thinking the Jets can win. I think they can. Just have to be aggressive on offense.
This is football not a sales pitch. Putting points on the board is what its all about. The only time you go for it is when the game is on the line and have no choice. 3 FGs Vs 1 TD .... which are you going to take? FGs are like a boxers jab. Are you seriously telling me that if on sunday we are driving and at the Pats 4 - 4th & 2 you would go for it regardless of the score?
Tell that to Mike Smith and his Falcons two weeks ago. The three points they didn't go for at the end of the first half cost them the chance to go for a tying FG at the end and arguably were the diff between a W and an L
