That is a fact that we havent had a dominant game yet but the potential is there in both sides of the ball ,and the positive factor is that is very young potential wich means next years can be bright.

that's great but what I was getting at is that this team is being laughed at also and could have easily been 0-3. that's all.

Yeah... don't hold your breath, gus. After the end of the Pats game and then the 20 calls last Sunday, I think we'd see more Jets elections than Titans.

Willie Colon pretty much put a target on this team for the zebras.

I don't know what you're talking about. The o-line has been great in pass pro. Most of the sacks that have been given up have been from Geno holding the ball too long.

Keep in mind that these stats include a game against Brady Almighty.

Interesting side note: The Titans have yet to turn over the ball.

I think our defense continues to make statement tomorrow. We pull away in the second half for a relatively easy 27-10 victory. Wall makes his first career pick. Geno does not hit as many big plays, but does enough to keep the ball moving.

Coples will get a sack or 2. Wilks at least 1 along with Richardson and others. I see our defense being very successful tomorrow. It's time to start forcing more TOs. That's the one area we haven't done all that much with. Geno in short field situations would be very helpful. The Titans D is alright but ours is better. It will probably be a close game, but I see the potential of the Jets blowing it wide open with big defensive plays.

Was thinking the same thing, but Tennessee hasn't turned the ball over all year and we don't force turnovers. I would love for the defense to score or give Geno a short field like you mentioned, but I just don't see it this week.

I know that our defense is what will keep us in it. But it would be nice to see a two or three touchdown spread. Maybe Rex has tapes of Chip Kelly's Oregon team and is looking for some ideas .....

I'm excited to see the battle in the trenches for both teams. Titans spent big on their interior Oline with Warmack and Levitre which has really improved their running game as Johnson is leading the AFC in rushing yards (7th overall). From what I've read they are weak in pass protection however so the Dline should generate pressure through the middle.

Titans Dline has played quite well and they are a heavy blitzing team so it will be a tough job on our Oline to protect Geno. We may see a lot of Geno scrambling. I think his mobility can really neutralize their D. I don't think the running game is going to be very effective however so a lot is gonna fall on Geno.

Sometimes you gotta read about other teams to see just how good we are...

In the first three weeks of the season, the Browns traded their starting running back
and threw open the competition for the starting quarterback job.

But that’s not all that should define September for the Browns.

The beginning of 2013 might have spelled the start of a promising era for the Browns’ defense,
which has been outstanding in the first three weeks of the season.
Entering Week Four, only the Jets are allowing fewer yards per play than Cleveland.
Moreover, the Browns’ pass rush has been strong, notching 12 sacks thus far.

I want the taste of last year's Titans game officially out of my mouth. I know Rex and company feel the same way. Hopefully they get the job done.

but wait.....i thought franchise qb's like brady are supposed to make the players around him a lot better. That's why it's ok to pay a qb $20m+/yr because they can turn chicken shit into gold.

bold prediction (or maybe not):the jets will hold the titans to under 250 yards of offense.

from what I've heard the titans offense is built primarily on the run (the jets can handle CJ2K) but when its not its a lot of simplified reads with the first usually being schemed open, leading to mostly smart decisions from Locker, who also has a good amount of scramble ability.

so blitzing a lot may not amount to much, but this is where having such a fantastic d-line will come in handy since they won't HAVE to blitz much.

TEN's O-line is good and I wouldn't expect much penetration but there should be enough pressure from Coples and SON's(Wilker,Harri, and Richard) that a decent number of players can be given assignments on the outside to stop Locker both in the air and on the ground. I don't fear Locker much because of this, he's pesky but nothing unstoppable.

making a lot of b-lines or committing to the blitz may not be wise as doing so will likely fit their game plan.

So its all on the offense, specifically the passing game. supposedly they have some good corners, if that theory holds up and Holmes and Hill can't get open enough the there will be some problems, but give Holmes in particular an inch and he'll take a mile. Geno can trust him to get clear and make a grab where he places it, and that makes a world of difference a rotationally letah vertical threat.

I'm pretty confident that the Jets can take this, the titans offense shouldn't get much if the defense plays it smart, and the titans defense while formidable can be taken advantage of by a surprisingly effective offensive connection. it won't be blowout though, another grind out result. 17-13 NYJ
