I'm not too concerned by the lack of turnovers on D. We forced 3 fumbles on Buffalo, they just didn't end up as turnovers. 1.) C.J. Spiller fumble which bounced out of bounds 2.) E.J. Manuel fumble that refs missed and we couldn't challenge 3.) Fumble at the line of scrimmage that was uncalled on the field (I think) but we were penalized on the play anyway so it didn't matter Some more interceptions would be nice, but I loved the fact that we popped the ball out on D three times last week, even if they didn't end up working out to be turnovers. Our D recovered two of those. We also had the play by Milliner to knock the ball out of Edelman's hands against NE that didn't end up counting as a takeaway. Whether or not you buy that as an incomplete pass, it was nice to see the D being able to make plays on the ball.
Honestly, at the start of the season, I didnt think we were going anywhere so first anf foremost I wanted to see Geno develop into a good QB- give this franchise something to build on towards the future. At this point, we have a shot at being more than a team in transition and I just want us to win this game. I dont care if its one ugly game, just win baby.
I'm headed out to the local bar to watch the game and I suddenly realize I'm nervous, excited, very ready to watch my Jets and have no clue as to how the game is going to go. It's been more than a season since I had nerves like this. Maybe not since the Giant game in 2011. It's a nice feeling.
a little worried about Locker running around on third down scrambling for yards. We play tons of man so may have to spy a bit today. Nothing more frustrating then playing perfect D and th QB running for 8 on 3rd and 7.
I forgot how much I dislike Dan Dierdorf as an announcer. That safety hit Hill with his shoulder but Dierdorf bloviated 3 times about how clear it was he lowered his head and hit him with the crown. What a doofus. You mad a mistake, don't dig your heels in. _
