Interesting to hear how bad announcers we don't usually hear are when watching Red Zone. The Red Zone guy just talked about a "potential shocker in the Dallas-KC game, when KC is winning and were the favorites. Then the color guy in that game laments how KC didn't use up the clock well enough on a play where they got called for delay of game (which means, of course, that they ran down the clock as long as was possible).
Amazing TD Cutler to Bennett for Chicago to take the lead with 10 seconds left (assuming the extra point).
And the Red Zone guy is too stupid to figure this out. And the announcer at the game can't figure it out either. How can this people be this stupid?
well that's a given, that's why you can't leave so much time on the clock, because you figure SD will score easily given 2 minutes
Announcers! Eaglesa re calling the timeouts because otherwise SD would have run the clock to 2 seconds and kicked the FG. Now PHI gets a kick return
Kelly calls timeout twice for the Chargers anyone want to explain his thought process? So they can have 6 seconds left after the FG?
If they didn't call a TO SD takes that same FG with 0 seconds left. Now you have one last play. I like it
Of course - that's a hell of a lot better than not having any time at all. This was obviously the right thing to do.
they allowed SD the ability to run more plays you're helping them improve their chances the chances of a kickoff return for a TD or whatever are miniscule
And now Carolina doesn't bother covering Stevie Johnson with 2 seconds left, and will lose the game. Ridiculous.
You're allowing SD the ability to go from a difficult FG to an easier one by stopping the clock on every down. Otherwise, SD was left with 13 seconds or something.
