If the Jets have even a wisp of a chance at the playoffs they have to win this game. I think the tie breakers fall to the Dolphins and if the Jets lose today the best record they can get is 8-8 which means just to tie the Dolphins the Dolphins would have to lose both remaining games and the Jets would have to win both remaining games. And the Dolphins aren't going to lose the Buffalo.
I thought the TD to make it a 2 score game sealed it but whatever. No idea what Geno was looking at there.
It was a tough loss. They played close when the score was 16-13 but special teams did no favors when Tanner Purdum and Garrett McIntyre got beat and caused Quigley punt to be blocked. Panthers have always given the Jets a beating in Carolina. . Ravens win on Monday night and Jets are eliminated from the playoffs. Cam Newton was always hitting Greg Olsen and DAngelo Williams ran very well. Kyle Wilson is not suited for KR and PR duties. He is awful.
The Jets have played in Carolina three times. Carolina lost one of those three games, won by 11 during their first ever meeting, and then FINALLY gave the Jets a beating in 2005 (Wherein the lolworthy Brooks Bollinger was the starter). Should probably go ahead and edit that "ALWAYS" out of there.
I second this. We need to bring in a head coach with an offensive philosophy. Im sick of being a bottom 10 offense year in and year out in an offensive league.
I was actually slightly pleased with the performance. Like I wrote earlier, I expected a complete BEATDOWN. At least the Jets tried. A pick 6, long screen TD, and blocked punt away from winning. Must clean up those mistakes for 2014.
eh...there were pockets of successful plays on both offense and defense but they were too few and far between.... even if carolina doesn't make those few big plays it doesn't mean we take the game. i have no idea with regard to the browns game.
