I have some big time faith in Rex game planning vs EJ this 2nd time around. Especially with the extra week to prepare. Stop the run, limit the turnovers on offense and the Jets should leave Ralph Wilson Stadium @ 6-4. Hopefully Holmes is back this week and we MM can get this Salas kid the ball.
This will be EJ's first game back, which in my opinion doesn't body well with the Bills. Oh you are back EJ? Welcome back, your first start is against the Jets - where they sacked you about 5 or 6 times.
If we have aspirations for anything more then being a Jekyll/Hyde team then we have to beat the Bills
Tone should be back since he was close to playing last week, but you never know with that guy. My real concern is that I really hope Winslow has his allergy problem under control. Allergies can be a bitch.
The Jets are coming off their bye-week playing the Bills, obvioulsy. But they also had 10 days to prepare for the Bills in the first contest, as the Jets were coming off a Thursday Night game. The Bills have already had to face TWO other teams coming off their bye weeks this year: Miami and New Orleans, and Buffalo had to face both of those teams in back-to-back weeks in their own stadiums...AT Miami and then AT New Orleans, with both of those teams coming off their byes. The Bills also played the Bengals after Cincinnati was coming off a Thursday Night game, giving them 10 days to prepare. Even when the Bills have their own bye-week, that is somewhat negated by the fact that they are playing the Falcons, who will have been coming off a Thursday Night game and will have 10 days to prepare. So SIX of their games this year come against teams with extra rest, more than any other team. After that, the Falcons have four games against teams with extra rest...and then six teams play only three games against opponents with extra rest and game-planning time. Last year, 4 of the Bills' opponents in a 5-week span were either coming off their bye week or a Thursday Night game. On top of that, their own bye-week was compromised last year as well. I just thought that this information is interesting. Apparently, the schedule-makers hate the Bills.
That really is just terrible scheduling. They need to put more consideration into how opponents' byes affect other teams. No team should have to suffer a time/rest disadvantage in that many games.
Maybe idzik can bring WFH back for the game to lock down Mario (again!). I think Mario was the only DT WFT had success against...go figure. Plus it'd be fun to see Mario crying after the game again.
