If its even Geno has to start. If you're a 5th year vet you have to clearly outplay a rookie.

Yup. Cimini called us decent. Which is better than what our O looked like last years. Both QBs are showing more positive signs so looks like the QB competition is actually working some.

When your last two OCs sucked more balls than Liberace, i would say that is to be expected.

    Oh, wait...I have

And the reason he didn't walk on water yet was because it wasn't raining, right?

If Sanchez and Geno are equal. It's pretty obvious that Sanchez is going to start. Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves.

    - Its too damn early to give a judgement other than that they didn't fall flat on their face at the start (like McKnight)

thats the one I'm going with. and way to undercut sanchez, yeesh.

I don't think this is correct at all. If Sanchez is performing well, even if Geno is "ready" Sanchez is going to play.

Wow that is exactly opposite of reality. If it is close Geno definitely starts. Sanchez will have to be much better than Geno to start.

Geno will play when he's ready

The goal is to develop him into a starting role by 2014 once he's ready to play they will play him

The 49ers benched Alex Smith who was playing better than ever because Kaep was ready and he was the future

that would make sense... I mean if Smith flops you can't go back to sanchez. let the veteran take it unless he falters.

Nothing is completely equal when one guy works with the 1's and one guy works with the 2's. Also, today was just Day 1.

I beg to differ. As a vet he should always be ready.

Clean slate, now blow my socks off Sanchez!
Until he shows clear improvement, which he should as this is his type of offense, he's still the same old Sanchez.
Oh I think Sanchez is getting his fair crack of the whip and can deal with us naysayers
