I like the player, But just not that pick for the jets. There are a couple other guys I would have targeted for us there.

Jeez! Lol fifteen minutes go by and I get 4 PMs!

Well it was a little difficult between one of bakermakers guys and the other player at that position but I think RB is a huge need. IMO Lacy is the 1B to Gios 1A. He may not be the ideal fit in the WCO, but he may be the best pure runner in the draft. He's really godown on me the more I watch.

He's and every down back that can do it all. He's not as good as Gio catching the ball, but he's got viable hands. He's also one of the best pass blocking backs in college. Not much tread on his legs and he always runs hungry. I know many will say his success was due to the OL, but there's no denying his talent.

Great pick with Lacy, a big lineman and a big back really help to improve this offense.

Still didnt take my guy though! Which I'm clearly happy with.

Barry posted that he was having net problems and had not pmed you, hence the flood lol.

I agree with every thing you wrote about Lacey. I just see value elsewhere right now that I'm greedy for lol.

Not a huge fan of the Lacy pick to be honest. I'm with what Harpua is hinting at. To me, Lacy is good, but I want more of a big play back to complement Powell, not another bruiser.

Appreciate that... I really think with these two back to back picks, our offense can start to get on track, especially in the run game. Ideally I wanted Gio because he's a better fit for the WCO, but Lacy is a great player himself. If we were sticking with a power run/man blocking scheme he would easily be the #1 for us... As Ive said, adding offensive talent is my overall goal and is something I hope the Jets focus on in the draft. Its clearly one of the least talented teams, and could use a huge infusion of young talent.

Being that we can not trade, I felt like Lacy was a good choice. I think its him and Gio clearly at the top and then there is a cluster of RBs behind them that is really hard to sift through.

I agree he is definently worth the trade up and is a big need for us cause greene is gone and i dont know if powell can be an everydown back

Cosign. I like Lacy but combining fit in the offense with what's left I'd be frustrated.

Haha yeah it was between that and Lacy for me. I understand I am probably one of the bigger Lacy fans here so it might not be loved by everyone here.

Personally, I dont think we could go wrong if we were deciding between those 2 or 3 players.

I understand... But I just see much more than a bruiser in Lacy. I think he is a dynamic back in his own right. He doesnt have the speed of LeSean McCoy or AP (or even Gio Bernard in the draft), but he can definitely make some game changing plays- for instance the Georgia and Bama games. He's probably got some of the most nimble feet Ive ever seen on a large back and he always runs 110%.

He has soft hands and can be a HUGE upgrade in pass blocking (that ferocity he brings when running the ball shows when blocking also). He also has one of the best spin moves too haha.

That's the hard part of taking the jets in these drafts, everyone has their own opinion about our team.

Trust me, I won't do it on purpose but the Phins have some needs that need to be filled. There are a few directions we could go but I I do have one player in mind that I am leaning towards let's just hope it's not the same one but somehow I have a feeling it is.

Yeah, very true. Im sure many would have targeted a passrusher in the 1st. I wasnt going to reach on one unless Moore or Werner fell (I would have to have Jones be medically cleared to be Okay with him).

Oh with that board I guarantee I would have taken Ansah and listened to the whining for days lol. That's not to say I disagree with how you have gone at all, it's just a different philosophy and maybe a few spots of value here and there.

All the pass rushers were gone at #9, Jordan would have been a slight reach. Jordan has the ability to be a good coverage LB.

You took the BPA at #9.

Jet fans are still looking for the next J Abe, I'd rather have a solid OLB with marginal pass rush skills than a one trick pony. There aren't many Wares or Suggs in the NFL.

Possibly, but its not the player everyone keeps inferring. He's a guy who I feel should be a first round pick.

Those spins are pretty to watch. Whenever I'm watching his clips I feel a little disappointed if he's taken down before pulling one off.
