Jason La Confora hinted on the NFL Today on CBS that some in the Ravens locker room believe that Ed Reed is in his last season as a Raven and offered some landing spots if the Reed and the team decide to part ways. Reed is a free agent at the end of the season. Have to wonder how hard of a push Rex Ryan would make to get him, even if it was only for a year or two. I would think Rex loved him in Baltimore, and I would think Reed loved playing in Rex's defense while in Baltimore, so maybe he would consider coming here. May be unlikely if Reed is just looking for cash, but imagine having a secondary of Revis, Cromartie, Landry, and Ed Reed? It'd be like a video game haha.
Yea that's not happening. We probably won't even be able to re-sign Landry, let alone Landry & Reed. Nice pipe dream though. I missed this on the 9th: Jets assistant DB coach Jim O'Neil joining Pettine with Bills, per @MMehtaNYDN. Dennis Thurman was Jets DB coach and likely next DC.
This was my most trying season as a fan. Thankfully however, I have loved every move we have made so far. I just hope we get a GM in the next week. There have been a ton of great nominees, and we have a ton of players that can and should be released, to help us out a ton cap wise.

Not sure if this is a real person, but apparently the Jets signed WR Vidal Hazelton to a reserve/future contract. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6885/vidal-hazelton Jets signed WR Vidal Hazelton to a reserve/future contract. When we last checked in on Hazelton, he was signing a reserve/future deal with the Bengals last January. The third-year undrafted free agent has never appeared in an NFL game, and is unlikely to do so in 2013. Jan 23 - 4:02 PM Source: Conor Orr on Twitter
