I was just discussing this with a homer Pens fan who does not get hockey. I said this will be a tough match-up that will probably go 7. Then he said: wow, you have no faith in your team! Really I just know how good the Isles have been playing and how they have caused issues for the Caps this season. He apparently does not buy into them. Or any Eastern team.

Pittsburgh was my pick to win the SC at the start of the year and I will stick with that pick, I think their talent will rise to the occasion, but we all know it's who gets hot at the right time not exactly the best team that wins it.

I really don't care who wins it as long as it's not Vancouver or Toronto. If those two teams meet in the finals.................. PUKE. I won't be able to handle that. Complete nightmare scenario for me on the level of NE vs NYG.

I would agree, but the Caps are just as hot right now. (If this turns out to be the 3-6 match-up)

Excellent road win by SJ! Excellent! Their cycle was working, almost a flawless defensive performance. Hell, Vancouver's only goal was knocked in by a Shark. 1 down 3 to go.

Sens/Habs was a crazy game dominated by a dreadful piece of officiating from the worst ref in the league, Dan O'Rourke. Eric Gryba got five minutes and a game for a hit that, although Lars Eller got destroyed and there was a lot of blood, wasn't even worthy of two minutes. You'll no doubt see it in the next 24 hours, but it was the result of a suicide pass from Diaz.

Craig Anderson was fucking amazing tonight and won us the game in that second period. Erik Karlsson is back to being his usual incredible self. Ole, ole ole ole..........

Yeah pretty much everyone on the CBC panel and myself agree that was just a brutal suicide pass by Diaz that got his teammate crushed. Amazing job by Ottawa to only give up one goal during the 5 minute PP and even a little 5 on 3 during that 5 minutes. Good win for Ottawa after a rough 2nd period.

Blues/Kings tied at 1 in the 3rd. This series has been fun so far, crowd really into it. Physical as expected, bodies flying all over the fuckin place.

Bob Cole is such a biased prick. Obviously the resulting injury is horrible (and apparently Eller is in hospital in a bit of a mess), but there's clearly no intent to injure, Gryba clearly didn't target the head, he clearly didn't launch, it clearly isn't interference, and he clearly led shoulder to body.

It's a hockey hit, and to give Gryba a game for that is another entry in the long litany of appallingly biased decisions that Dan "Karlsson's a diver" O'Rourke has given against the Senators. He should never be allowed to officiate another Ottawa game again.

Red Wings blow a 4-1 3rd period lead with 12 mins to go. 4-4 game, likely headed to OT.

    Wicked game.

Just watched the Ducks comeback. Pretty awesome. Red Wings take it in OT though. Fun game! I still love Bruce Boudreau by the way. He is the man. I don't know if a coach has ever brought a team from crap to do nothing but win Division Titles and get fired, but he did.
