I caught the last two periods. Everyone was so tired they could barely skate.

Thought Bruins would win 2-1, but Hawks can fly

First thing he does is endorse his roller hockey goalie...better off with the canvas cutout my sons use on their net

    http://voices.suntimes.com/stanley-cup-game-one-gets-nhl-highest-ratings-in-16-years/

Luckily, the storms spared most of the Chicago area, keeping power on and keeping Blackhawks tuned in to last night’s Stanley Cup Final Game One against the Boston Bruins. Not that Chicagoans – and Bostonians – were the only ones watching the epic three-overtime game. The first Original Six Final since 1979 generated huge TV numbers in the local markets but gave the NHL its highest Stanley Cup rating nationally in 16 years.

In Chicago, according to NBC Sports’ PR department, the game received a 25.1 overnight rating, up 49 percent from Game One of the 2010 Cup Final against Philly, which also made NBC the most-watched network in Chicago while the game was one (which was pretty much all damn night). Boston also had huge ratings with a 28.1 overnight rating which was up 10 percent from Game One of the 2011 Cup Final against Vancouver (boooooooooooooo!). And a lot of you stuck with the Hawks to the very end: our TV critic Lori Rackl informs us that for the final 15 minutes of the game, 56 percent of all TVs in use in the Chicago market were tuned into the game.

That was a heck of a game last night. I lost out on sleep staying up to watch that bad boy! The Blackhawks had so many great opportunities during 2OT, I was surprised they didn't end it sooner than they did.

Wicked game last night, thought the Bruins outplayed them but the Hawks showed great resilience, hung in and got the bounces. Should be a fun series.

1OT was some amazing hockey, but it became a war of attrition in the end.

MacLean wins the Jack Adams, Alfie wins the Messier Award for Leadership.

Laughably, Shero wins GM of the year.

Good for Mac and Alfie, both are deserving, what the hell did Shero do, besides load up on over the hill vets and fail

Ovie won the Hart? Crosby-erella plays for an all star team he doesn't deserve it, either Ovie or Taveres are deserving...Hank deserves it more than Crosby...

They gave Subban the Norris, that's a fucking joke as well. Although I am biased, because I hate that prick.

Goalie Bob gets the Vezina, which is a decision I like.

Too bad Craig got hurt, he would have won in a landslide

Congrats to the Great 8! 3-Time Hart Trophy winner! Now, if he can only show some Hart in the playoffs, he can hold the Cup one day.

Finished fourth with three #1 votes, but I think it would have been unreasonable for him to win; he missed a large amount of an already shortened season. I like Bobrovsky and I think he's a worthy winner, which he was by a landslide.

These teams really are even. Both games went to overtime, each team won once. Probably will go 7. At least 6.

Well deserved TDK, the award doesn't say 2nd best player on the NHL's all star team, Taveres deserved it over the crybaby too...
