    They got a kings ransom. In a draft that is deep like this one your going to add a bunch of badly needed talent.

    Say what you want about how the Patriots use the picks they get, but you have to say they're masters at getting maximum value for their pick trades.

    Another reason I want Geno is because sitting in the green room is gonna make him so hungry and he's gonna have a huge chip on his shoulder

    But they have been doing this for years and the reason they need some "badly needed talent" is they can't draft.

    Yeah, it is a nice trade. Sounds like anyone in the last couple of picks this round could have had it if they wanted.

    Bears wanted the pick badly.

    Exactly, we try and trade both our picks and nothing... all of a sudden the Pats get 4 picks ? WTF. The Bills get extra picks and the Phins don't give up enough? Then we drarft a CB and DT? This seriously might be my least favorite draft ever./.. well Kyle Brady is still worse.
