The lead should be more if bonner would have drained those 3's. Of course Duncan gets raped across the face and no call....... Bill Simmons needs to get off of James' nuts...
Simmons is pissing me off now, he praises the spurs between the games liked the days between but then bags on em in the pregame and half.
Spurs have the Heat on the edge right now. Lebron and Wade don't want to shoot the open 3s or jumpers the Spurs are giving them. Also, Danny Green had an adventurous dunk attempt on Bosh on that fast break
The 6 before halftime, plus the 9-2 run here. Spurs took a tie game and turned it into a 13 point lead.
Right now the Spurs have 28 missed shots, and 14 offensive rebounds. Ridiculously dominating the boards there.
The way this is going, you leave Wade or Leborn wide open from 3 and don't leave Mike Miller at all. Just stick to him
Still have the Heat on the edge. Lebron didn't get going during that stretch, but Mike Miller keeping them afloat. The strategy on Wade and Lebron is reminiscent of the strategy on Rondo. Back off, go under screens, stay in front of him at all costs. Tony Parker headed to the locker room.
Van Gundy says this is a difficult spot for Joseph to be put into. How? He's a backup guard, he has to play some minutes anyway. 14 point lead nearing the end of the third, not a difficult spot at all. He averages over 10 minutes per game during the playoffs.
LeBron 2/12, 4 points Haslem and Chalmers 0/7, 0 points Wade and LeBron have yet to score in the second half (3:35 left in third).
Gary Neal and Mike Miller having incredible shooting nights, but Miller not getting help from his teammates.
I can't wait for the good articles tomorrow to break down how the Spurs D is doing this. It slightly reminds me of Dallas' strategy against Lebron that left him more thinking than playing
Saw 2 interesting stats that made me believe betting SA -2 tonight was a no brainer. 1) The Spurs 'Big 3' haven't lost back-to-back games since mid-December and 2) After a loss in the playoffs, TP averaging 28.5 on 56% shooting in 2 blowout wins. Even though TP isn't quite there, the Spurs look great.
It's a 15 point lead, but Lebron made two outside shots and 9 straight points total. Granted Duncan was sitting for that run and Parker was out, but lead shouldn't be only 15
