Anyone else making plans for a finals trip? I think im going to Miami if theirs a game 6 or 7. San Antonio is farther away and I cant see them winning it in 5 anyway. I guess ill just wait and see and make plans accordingly.
soxxx Would you mind to tell your story a little bit? You are a Jets fan and a Spurs fan at the same time. Are you from New York Metro area or no?
Yeah its a bit odd that im a Spurs fan and am from NY right? My friend got me into basketball in middle school, this was 04/05. Back then everyone was a fan of every team it seemed, I knew people who liked the Heat, Lakers, Cavs, etc. My friend kinda leaned me toward the Spurs, I bought a Tim Duncan Jersey and have been following them since. I will admit though, back then we only had antenna so I never was able to watch the Knicks. No internet back then either so the only way Id get news was when the paper came. It was horrible because the West games didnt get put in the paper until the day after so I had to wait days to find out scores, This applied for baseball to, I had to check the paper to find out about the mets. Rarely they would be on one of the basic channels, because with antenna you only get like channels 2,4,5,7,9,11. Not ideal honestly.
Heat dont have that killer instinct, they seem to take the gas off when they feel they are comfortable. They dont respond until they HAVE to respond. I credit the Pacers though to for fighting through adversity tonight.
so much for the NBA rigging it for the Heat (the popular conspiracy theory) LeBron fouled out on a dubious call he rarely fouls, too
Officials called a lot of moving screens in the Spurs' three series as well, I didn't think it was that questionable of a call. At least they're being sort of consistent this year.
I already have them penciled in to win the next two games, but the officials have been calling this playoffs differently from years past, so you never know.
Ill be shocked if the Pacers win it, but at this point its best 2 of 3 which basically means its like 60/40 the Heat win/lose. If every playoff series was a 3 game series then we would see many upsets, idk at this point.
not sure how you come up with 60/40 It's more than that, with the Heat playing twice at home. At least 70/30
Heat have had that mentality all year. Even during their winning streak, many games they coasted through 3 quarters then put teams away in the 4th. They did it to MIL in the 1st round and CHI the second round. It comes back to hurt teams but you hope they don't learn in time to finish teams off. Consistently bad refs are better than inconsistent refs in my book. I really like how this series is traditionally scheduled: Game, day off, game, day off, game, day off, etc
I don't disagree with them calling moving screens. I've seen plenty of players injured when a big man hop-steps to one side to trip up a small guy following his assignment. It's illegal. Maybe it's nitpicking sometimes, but I'd rather see them call that than a lane violation or something of that ilk.
Ah so you want them to actually call things in the rulebook? There's your problem  Just saw the 24 second "violation", Wade's travel, and Lebron's 6th foul. Uhhh let's just say Joey Crawford left him imprint on this game. Lebron's and Wade's plays late, if you call that everytime down the floor, you would have a really slow and bogged down game with whistles on nearly every play Also never seen a rim call be missed that badly. The Pacers are on a solid good streak from the refs.
