van gundy is right, the grizzlies not running back on defense (on more than one occasion) is downright embarrassing. he also said about memphis "a team that's not blessed with a lot of perimeter weapons" Talk about an understatement.
Parkers eye problem dates back to last june in the Chris Brown/Drake brawl in SoHo. Glass got in his eye, dude coulda went blind.
Spurs needa just end this, so close to the finals. Closest in 6 years and no we are 2 and 1/2 minutes away.
Parkers evolution is amazing, Jalen brought up a great point, the Spurs were VERY close to trading Tony Parker back in 2010, the Knicks were going to get him. Heres an article from 2010 about it http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...uld-make-knick-fans-forget-about-lebron-james Oh and to put more things in perspective, after the Spurs 2011 season, Tony Parker said the Spurs were no longer contenders. http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/story/2011-05-20/tony-parker-says-spurs-no-longer-a-contender Crazy how things have turned around, thanks to Tony.
A Spurs vs Heat finals would be really, really interesting. Rooting heavily for that. Also, if the Heat vs Pacers series goes like 6-7 games, it would give the Spurs a chance to rest big time because they're not a young team by any means.
Yeah its nuts, after 2011 I accepted that the championship days were over. I felt it was going to be a very long time before we would contend again, like decades even.
Parker is probably the best PG in the playoffs. Guy always shows up there. I don't think he's the best PG in the league, but he's top 3, and a top 10 player overall.
The Spurs get a bad rap as an old team. But Tim and Manu can use the rest. Mainly Manu. He has been terrible lately, and I'm not sure what his problem is. Look at the rest of the Spurs roster and you will find youth.
Believe in Pop. I know he said that when Tim left, he would, but I have trouble believing that the way he has built this team. They made some bad personnel decisions, and survived them. Sorry, I'm still in Holy Shit mode. I am so pumped.
Im not even sure if it was personnel decisions. If you look back... 08-Lakers get Gasol and emerge as the best in the West 09-Spurs injured in playoffs 10-Injured all season long, end up a #7 seed, beat the #2 Mavs but then get killed by the Suns 11-Solid season, #1 seed but them complete implosion against Memphis, especially George Hill 12-Thunder shoot the lights out I feel like the last 2 years we really blew it. 2011 we woulda beaten the Mavs, going into the playoffs we all feared the Lakers but the Mavs swept em. The Mavs we just beat the year before with a much lesser team to. Im just glad we got one last shot at this.
