Ray Allen opted into his final year with the Heat.

Wonder if rondo is getting shipped to fully tank for the celtics. Or will they build around him and Avery Bradley

All these picks just to possibly move up to the 4th best team in the East. Miami, Pacers, Chicago and NYK.

Nope. Brooklyn just inked a real good shooter.

    Aaron Hernandez.

proko is a moron. he is the nba version of george steinbrenner only seems like more of an asshole and more cocky.

the nets are not a great team. deron williams is a cancer, jason kidd is as well. lopez is garbage and the 2 guys they just picked up are far too old to do them any good.

i think its idiotic to really give up the next 5 years in order to not win this year. and look stupid doing it.

i honestly cant wait for it to implode.

jason kidd has run coaches out of town on more than one occasion.

i have never cared for his game, he was always a poor shooter. great passer but poor shooter. and just a bit of a douche. if it werent for dallas winning in the twilight of his career he would be a perennial loser too.

the way he has run guys out of town and the way deron williams has run coaches out of town these two assholes were meant for eachother. i wanted to i really wanted to like the new franchise in brooklyn, but they are going to be impossible for me to root for.

The Knicks need to find a quality small forward. Martins ok, but with Melo playing the 4 they need someone at the 3.

I feel with melo, he does not need to be teamed up with superstars. Melo needs quality shooters on the perimeter. This idea of them bringing in cousins is stupid. If im NY I will resign JR Smith, and look to bring in a forward. Hardaway will help a lot of he can nail his shots.

Perennial loser is overboard, he carried the Nets to 2 finals and lost to 2 of the better teams in NBA history.

i think i just cant stand how much respect they say i should give a guy who was a douche and really didnt win a terrible amount. what did he start in 96 so he played 17 years with 1 champ in his twilight and led the nets to the finals twice in a conference that was weak at best.

your probably right i do hate him. he beat his wife, he drove byron scott out of new jersey and he is completely overrated as a pg. the fact the nets gave him a head coaching job is just absurd to me. there are plenty of guys who have gone through the learning process as a head coach. kidd has not but the now its blatant to me idiots in brooklyn got bamboozled or fell in love with him.

yeah so no im just not a fan of his. i agree he was a very good pg who got the ball where it needed to be. my main issue with him is that i think he is a douche and i think he is a bit overrated. which is really not his fault.

My Sixers are in better position for Wiggins. we get two firsts next year, the Pelicans are guaranteed to suck as are we. so we could be looking at 2 top 5 picks.

How are they guaranteed to suck? If Eric Gordon stays healthy, having him, Jrue, Davis, and Anderson alone makes them at least a .500 team imo.

I'm sorry but this is complete nonsense.

Lopez garbage? So lets see here, top 10 in scoring, 7th in the NBA in blocks, 5th in PER, and doing all this at the age of 25. But yeahhhhh he's just complete "garbage" huh?

Deron Williams a cancer? Thats nice. His coaches under performed completely over the past season, he didnt get them fired, they got themselves fired. Sloan simply ran out of gas, he didnt want to be a coach anymore as well. They had their ups and downs relationship wise but in no way was it entirely Derons fault, so please dont try to grasp at straws with that argument.

And Jason Kidd a cancer as well? One of the most respected players in the NBA? Now he definitely had his issues off the court but on the court he was a mentor as well as a leader. The guy literally changed and became close with each and every player he had the chance to play with, if anything he is exactly what youd want from a coach who was a former player.

Now from the standpoint of the Nets "mortgaging their future", its really not the case. Sure they gave up a fair amount of 1st round picks, but thats not to say they cant be a good to great team for the next 5 years. FA will also play a HUGE role into Brooklyns future. They'll have a great amount of cap space going into the 2016 and 2017 seasons (something this trade actually opened up), that of which the likes of Durant, Lebron (if he doesnt opt out), Love, etc will all be free agents. The Nets arent in NJ anymore my friend, theyre in a major market, and are now a team players want to play for. This move creates a winning culture around the organization and shows they want to win at all costs, no bullshit.

Even if this move only puts them in ECF territory it still benefits Prok and the Nets greatly. They'll be a very good team for the next 2 years and even after that they still have a chance to improve even more. This move didnt put their future in huge risk, it sets them up to take the next big step. Lets also not forget they want NY badly and it looks like they'll get it with this. I dont see how this trade is more negative than positive as you seem to like to make it.

it probably is. i have disdain for willams and it probably clouds my vison.

you are correct about lopez. i was probably just looking for more dirt to throw on the nets. he is a pretty good player.

deron williams has single handedly driven 2 coaches out of jobs. probably 3 but 2 for sure. he is a classic cancer, when he doesnt like something he just folds up and whines like a little baby. i just cant root for that type of guy.

kidd has done very similar things in his past. he was a very good pg but what kind of a hc will he be? he has shown his penchant for wanting to call the shots, well now is his chance and he gets to deal with someone like himself, only far worse in williams. he may end up being amazing. but he will more likely have quite a bit of growing pains this year and it will be fun to watch his douchebag protege turn on him.

i dont like kidd i cant stand williams.

Knicks appear close to acquiring Andrea Bargnani from Toronto, per source. NY offering Camby, Novak, 2 picks (1st rd/2nd rd).
