maybe that's true, but whatever is going on, the current system is not a good one, IMO

Tsonga just rolls through Federer. Wow, that was really easy for him. Surprising to see Fed go out without a set at least

Errani having trouble winning any points off Serena. She's won like 3 and the first set is almost over.

NBC not airing Djokovic/Nadal. It'll be on tennis channel. What a joke.

Also, the FO really should've made it the second match of the day, following Tsonga. I guess they wanted the French guy last, but Tsonga/Ferrer isn't nearly as big. Novak/Nadal is the de facto final.

chair blows a critical call to give Nadal a gift break in the second.

It should've been deuce, instead Nadal gets a break he didn't deserve.

The refusal to use replay gives another black eye to this tournament.

Anyone on the East Coast without tennis channel to watch this, the match is now also on NBC

Ferrer and Tsonga making the umpire come out of his chair a lot these past couple games. Accoridng to the unofficial hawkeye, the umpire is making the right call each time.

I was hoping for Tsonga because he has a better chance of taking down Nadal

Tsonga was up 3-0 in the second set

I was looking around this morning for the Nadal/Djokovic match, I thought it was going to be on ESPN2 or something. How a semifinal match in a major gets restricted to the Tennis Channel (of course not on Cablevision) is beyond me. At least have the match on basic cable! This is just one of the reasons why it's hard for casual fans to get into tennis.

Unfortunately, I just got to the part which exposes the fact that the writer is unaware that there's no tiebreaker in the fifth set at the French Open. Ouch. He also somehow missed the blown call that gave Rafa a huge break.

NBC just doesn't care about it. ESPN is piling up it's rights though. I think they just acquired the rights to the US Open in 2015.

NBC has routinely done this regarding semifinals, they don't care for tennis. Back a while ago I believe there was an instance they stopped showing a finals match for the Puerto Rico Day parade.
