The thing to watch out for now is if the Clippers can leap-frog OKC. Currently OKC is ahead by 2 losses, but the Clippers play OKC and if they win would move a game closer AND would have the tiebreaker over the Thunder. The Clippers have 4 games left, they will have to win out, its very obtainable considering the game against the Thunder is home. On the flipside OKC has 6 games left, if they lose to the Clippers then it would require another loss, they play: @Sacramento vs New Orleans @Indiana @New Orleans vs Detroit
I'll say Indiana, and sure LAC too, but not the other games. It would be 1 more at most. And that's with the Clippers winning out? Who say's that will even happen? Either way, I stand by my previous statement that seeding is overrated.
The Suns are my least favorite team. I've watched a few of their games, and PJ Tucker and Gerald Green are just huge douche bs (in the words of Badger). PJ Tucker is dirty, and both of them are obnoxious. Taunting, beating their chests, acting like they're the greatest thing ever if they hit a shot.
Brooklyn-Miami tonight. Nets are trying to go for the sweep of the Heat. It looks like these teams might play in the second round, and I think the Nets can beat them TBH.
Heh, yeah they are an excitable bunch. I've been leaning this way too, but a PHX/OKC series would be really tempting because that type of stuff vs Perkins and Westbrook, oh man that series could be a 4-0 sweep but an exciting 4-0 sweep for OKC.
The Nets problem is that they won't have HC and they might need to battle through Chicago first round. You can beat Chicago 4-1 or 4-2, but it takes a toll on you. No easy buckets, lots of contact, have to avoid injuries/suspensions. Chicago can also win too. If Chicago can overtake Toronto, Toronto seems the easier of the bunch in my head, but the numbers say otherwise. I'm really interested to see how TOR handles WAS or BK. They have a top team since they traded Rudy Gay, but they've also been in the weak EC and don't have playoff experience.
The other side note, you see what having Lebron and being a defending champ does for your imagine. On March 1st, according to here http://www.shrpsports.com/nba/stand.php?link=Y&season=2014&divcnf=div&month=Mar&date=1, Miami was 1 game back in the loss column of IND. Today they are 2 up in the loss column. That's little ground gained during a time when IND has been slumping.
Yeah, the homecourt I see as issue but not a backbreaker. If the Nets could get the series to 1-1 and bring the series to Brooklyn, that crowd will be hostile. The Nets might not be the Knicks but for that week they would have the attention of NY.
Yeah although San Antonio and Indiana both brought series back 1-1 last year right? 1-1 is obviously key in general because going down 2-0 digs creates a smaller margin for error. If Wade is seriously hurt, the Heat overall drop big time. While Lebron/Bosh is a great combo, a healthy Wade makes them much more difficult to guard especially once the offense goes through him when Lebron rests. Part of me wants to see Chicago/BK matchup broken up so we can potentially get Miami, IND, CHI, and BK all in the conference semifinals and we get to see how TOR stacks up against BK, but part of me wants to see another heated series between CHI/BK. This second option also allows Toronto to get an easier matchup and I think it would be cool if they made a run to the ECF over any other EC team right now

Yisman, have you gotten a chance to watch Toronto at all? I'm trying to learn more about them come playoff time and not a lot of reports about them heading into the playoffs. One of the quietest division winners in a while.
I've watched them maybe once or twice all season. I don't think they're that threatening but that's just from the feel and lack of experience, not from watching. I think Chicago is the biggest threat, followed by Brooklyn. Getting rid of Gay was helpful, but they never should've traded for him in the first place. Yeah I basically have the same feeling. It's not based on watching them play. What made me think about them more is that they have the #7 defensive rating and #10 offensive rating all year. They play the East in what was the weakest conference in a while, but it's still impressive to be ranked that high in both categories. I don't know whether or not they're my 3rd team in the East or not.
