Great signing for the clippers. All he has to do is catch and shoot. I think they are neck and neck with okc
I'm pretty happy that the Thunder got Caron Butler. I've already seen him play this year, since he played for the Bucks, and he will be a needed, and solid addition for 3s. Behind Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka, the other starters are Thabo, and Perkins, or rookie Steven Adams. Perkins is out for a month, maybe two yet, and the bench players are good with Reggie, Fisher, and my favorite of the bunch Jeremy Lamb. Ultimately I'm a little bummed about how this might affect Lamb's playing time, but regardless of what happens...I'm excited. I was in tank mode for the Bucks since game 5, and am thrilled they're in prime position for the best draft pick. Then with OKC, well #1 seed, can't do much better.
3 games above .500! On pace to face TOR in the 1st round of the playoffs, the Eastern Conference! Also, what's this about Washington going small? Nene gets hurt and they still start a big lineup. Do they play small, or did you just kind of make that up?
Meanwhile in the better conference, Memphis is a game back of PHX for the final playoff spot. As of right now, Portland is the most vulnerable top seed, but they could definitely get back on a roll. SA just has to get and stay healthy. The Clipper and Rockets probably would love to get out of a 4/5 matchup. Clippers and Rockets are tied but if Clippers or Rockets get to the 3 seed, you get GS or Dallas.
Memphis interests me, that team is formidable and I dont think the Thunder would want to run into them again. It would be a long series.
The Spurs appear to be rounding into form to make another playoff run. They are finally healthy and are playing some good basketball. I firmly believe right now Popovich is now just coasting to the playoffs and has the team right where he wants it. We will see if they can get the 1 seed but honestly if we don't its not that big of a deal.
Al Jefferson watch, he has 26 points through the first half of the Miami game! Lebron has 24! Should be a fun second half
61 for Lebron. Bobcats gave up 62 to Melo also. Funny enough, overall the Bobcats defense isn't bad, but two of the highest scoring games this year came against them
FYI, KD plays the 76ers tomorrow night so let's say KD is gunning for 60 also, tomorrow night is a prime opportunity
James is the MVP, this debate is stupid to me. The Heat are about to go through a string of interesting games: @Houston @San Antonio @Chicago vs Washington vs Brooklyn
What's your point? Is this another thing where you just say you believe stuff and never explain why or back it up only to flip flop 2 months down the road?
The debate is still there. If you want to boil down a full season MVP race to one game, that's your problem .If you don't explain yourself, that's how it's going to look like. It's definitely a debate. I think Lebron should get it again, but Durant has him on points and rebounds in traditional stats and PER and Win Shares in advanced stats. Lebron is hyper efficient though. It's going to be a tough call. Lebron is the favorite as a title winner and best player in the NBA, but also has voter fatigue against him. Those things definitely factor in even though they shouldn't. Those two will finish 1/2 and as of right now, either way works for me. As long as nobody else gets MVP winner votes, it will be a good voting process from the voters
I never boiled it down to one game, ive had Lebron as my MVP the entire season and has yet to change once. Ive pretty much agreed with all the points that Francesa has made, if KD wins it will be because f voter fatigue. He is not the best player, Lebrons defense is really unreal.
Of course, we will hear a lot about Kobe's 81 but this game should also be brought up for him http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200512200LAL.html In 33 minutes he had 62 points! He didn't play the 4th quarter! I still think 100 would be too much, but he just dropped 30 in the 3rd Q to sit at 62. Of course a month later he made history with 55 in the 2nd half and 81 total.
