I believe they were shipped out of Miami.

    Like LeBron's cars.

Geez, they are starting to sound like the Mets now.

Apparently he has a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament (the Tommy John ligament) and they are going to try to treat it with rehab.

Just like the Mets said with Harvey.

Wtf. It's not a ligament that can fully "heal" without surgery, so what do you do, rehab and have him pitch in 6-8 weeks in the hopes that it doesn't tear more? For the rest of his career you'll be waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Shut him down, operate as soon as the swelling goes down and have a stud pitcher for the next 6 years of his career.

So short sighted. If he goes under the knife now, he could be back in the rotation before the all star break next year.

I can't believe the Mets even entertained the notion of allowing Harvey to try rehab.

It was Harvey's decision to rehab, not the Mets.

Yankees lose 4 of 5 starting pitchers. Gonna be a rough second half of the season.

They are not going to be a factor. The Mets have better playoff hopes and they suck.

I agree, I don't get it. Correct me if I'm wrong but ligaments (and tendons) aren't like muscles that can eventually mend 100% with rest alone.

Some ligaments can heal with rest or rehab or immobility. Some cannot.

Also the term "tear" is kind of amorphous.

Yankees pitching staff combined to shut out the O's. Shane Green has taken advantage of his two starts.

The fact that the Yankees are only 5 games behind first place despite all the injuries is crazy.

True, but the AL East has been awful this year. Pretty sure none of the teams would compete in other divisions.

LET'S GO YANKEES! 3 games out of 1st it looks like. Pretty remarkable. I think Cashman has to go all-in on winning the AL East this year. Despite the injuries, the Yankees are clearly still in it. No reason not to. Send Jeter off right.

McCarthy goes tomorrow. See if they play the game and if he can keep his Yankees pitching magic going. Yankees are a really weird team this year.
