Hagi. The legend He played an awesome World Cup in 1994. Barcelona got him right after the World Cup. He played 2 years in Barca but his personality was not a good fit for Barca. He was an ex Real Madrid player as well. He stayed in Barcelona 2 years. It was summer 1996. I was an 18 year old Galatasaray fan. One night I turned on the TV and there he was. Signing for Galatasaray. I didn't sleep that night. He played 5 seasons for Galatasaray. 4 League Titles 1 UEFA Cup (Defeated Arsenal in 2000 in the Final) 1 Super Cup (Defeated Real Madrid in 2000) Those were the best days of my life. When someone mentions Hagi's name, those good old days come to my mind. He was something else. Commandante Hagi. You will never be forgotten.

The game between Benfica and Olympiakos was played in ridiculous conditions. I've never seen so much water on the field in my life. Benfica didn't deserve the draw but some absolutely horrid conditions combined with some horrid reffing got them the point.

Yes we did. Cabelvision didn't have the game so I headed to Buffalo Wild Wings with friends to watch the game. Awesome first half, scored 3 goals and killed Kopanhagen. Second half, we just tried to finish the game without any injuries. Real Madrid defeated Juventus in the other match of the group so we are second with 4 points, Juventus is third with 2 points after 3 games. Last game of the group will be played between Galatasaray and Juventus in Istanbul. It should be an awesome game.
Huge game today. Arsenal-Liverpool. Winner will be on top of the table. Edit: Arsenal won 2-0 and now they are 5 points clear on top.
Huge game for Red Bulls today. They will play the first leg of playoff game (home and home total goals win) in Houston at 4 PM today. Houston lost last 2 Finals and has been to finals 4 times in the last 6-7 years winning back to back a few years ago. Red Bulls has won all 3 games against Houston this year so I expect them to advance. By the way Red Bulls finished the league with the most points.
Disapointing for Gala as they fall to Kobenhaven today, they had a real chance to get a good hold on 2nd as Real and Juve played to a draw.
I was pretty disappointed today. We put lots of pressure on Kobenhaven but couldn't score. Final group game will be between Galatasaray and Juventus in Istanbul. Winner will advance. Let's see if we can beat Juve in Istanbul. I might go to that game. This 11 hour intercontinental flights for Galatasaray will kill me one day.
