obviously. and it is going up. there are plenty of products in this country, and sports is a product, that do not sell and have nowhere to go but up but never do. the growth is real and tangible. having not matured yet doesn't negate its growth.
Not even close. Supporters section means ONLY USA fans can buy the tickets. 9000 USA fans in the same section of the stadium. It will be the biggest home-field advantage against Mexico we have ever had. Which is to say a lot in Columbus where we have historically own El Tri.
The other tickets were put on sale to the general public. Why do you assume 15K Mexicans will scoop up the tickets. Have you heard 9000 voices singing and chanting in unison?
You're telling me they've exploded. That is demonstrably false. Auto racing in the US is hurting, not exploding. MMA has experienced some pretty good growth in recent years. NASCAR has definitely not.
I am going by what you said, you said the American section is 9,000 I would hope it would be 95% American. No, I don't go to games to watch fans sing and chant, I go to watch the teams play. In sports w/ actual action fans aren't spending the entire game signing and chanting.
So NASCAR hasn't exploded in the last 20 years? interesting, so it was always huge? it may be taking a step back but it's still damn big and soccer isn't even worthy of a comparison to it at this point.
When exactly are we talking about? Recent times or in the 1980s? Recently, NASCAR has been far from exploding. It's declining. At some point NASCAR was growing, but not in the last 5 years or so. If we're discussing recent growth, soccer and MMA are growing. NASCAR is losing market share.
As far as being worthy of comparison, you compared soccer to NASCAR. I don't think NASCAR was even being discussed until you brought it up.
I think somewhat recent, nascar didn't explode in the last 5 years but in the last 20 it took a HUGE leap. Soccer is growing at a very slow pace, nascar exploded, MMA is kind of exploding. some are and it's better than hugging the guy next to you and signing like a buffoon b/c there's no action to get you excited.
I think they sing, not use sign language. It's a way of getting involved. At a baseball game, it seems like half the fans are texting. As for NASCAR, it's been declining for at least 5 or 6 years. Here are more articles discussing NASCAR's situation. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nascars-greed-sagging-attendance-164200797--nascar.html http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/spor...print-Cup-attendance-with-upgrades/56623512/1 http://content.usatoday.com/communi...-away-ticket-for-brickyard-400/1#.UBhj_LRDy5I
Nascar is declining but it is still huge. Again, I don't get it, I'd rather watch soccer than cars driving in a circle but it is still huge no matter how much it has declined. Baseball has declined too and it's still huge.
