I really do think we can win this game. I mean cmon there is no way Rex will lead this team to another loss in a big game can he? In rex we trust

That is basically the only reason I have for us winning

That's pretty much it, Howard probably gets abused and the D will not be able to slow down Gore. Throw in they never let Smith go deep and our LB's can't cover worth a shit so I wouldn't be surprised to see them send Moss or Crabtree deep all game and completely use Davis to exploit our LB's all afternoon.

If Sanchez steps up we can win but he's going to have to play like it's the playoffs.

We will win this one IMO. With Revis down, I believe rest of defense will feel extra responsibility and step up. Being home will also help. Let's see.

I guess I am the only one who doesn't buy Alex Smith still. Maybe I just have not seen enough of him.

A lot of people don't including SF fans. I think he is smart enough he's just not all that physically gifted. He's very average.

I didn't believe in Alex until I saw him play this year, I think it was the Lions and it erased all doubt. I saw accurate passes and quick reads of the defense under duress. The later was the most impressive. Anyone can have a strong arm but time after time I saw him make the right decision. Whether it was to kill a play, run/slide for the first down, throw to check down receiver, recognize blitzes, find and exploit 1 on 1 match ups, or not forcing balls into double coverage instead throwing it away. He looked confident and in full control of the offense and you could tell he had the respect of his team because he has earned it on the field.

I have nothing but respect for the way Jim Harbaugh has turned around this team and handled Alex. He knows his football.

You don't get drafted #1 overall if you're not physically gifted. I don't care what position you play. It just took him a while to play up to potential. Now we're seeing what that time has done for him.

The 49ers are a lot like the Ravens of last year.

    For that I worry.

Edit: Also, we suck against the TE and VD is one of the best.

Any game at home is winnable. TD is a monster but isn't that why we pick up two hard hitting safeties for?

And San Francisco's defence is strong in the middle against the pass and outside against the run. Two things the Jets are bad at anyway.

    We might just win this...

Nobody bought in him, even SF fans, for seven years, but Harbaugh really helped him. He's now doing what Sanchez did for us in 2009 and 2010: game manager, except he's doing it a lot better (less interceptions). They're both game managers, and decent ones, but Smith is better and a large part of that is his ability to limit his mistakes.

This is a very winnable game. AP rushed for 3.1 a carry and the Vikes still won and controlled the clock against their D. If you stop the run against the Niners then their passing game has to beat you and I'll take my chances there against them as they don't make alot of big plays offensively. With Thomas back and an improved game from Pouha who didn't play well last week should help the run D.

Seems like the 49ers fans believe Ponder>Sanchez. I don't know where that came from. Kid has yet to prove jack.

That isn't surprising, as Sanchez is generally considered a joke by everyone but about 75% of Jets fans.

They will if the Jets stop the run.

And if the Jets concentrate on stopping the run they certainly have the personnel to do it.

as much as I want the Jets to win in order to be 3-1 obviously, I want the Jets to win because i'm sick of the 49ers, they have always fucked us, the jets are 2-9 against them, and i want revenge for '98 losing 36-30 in an OT heartbreaker, but they were so great that day i had hope for the season, and it was a great one for the jets, and also
i want revenge for 2008 with Favre, i was so fucking pissed off after that loss, it was right in the middle of the unraveling at the end of that season, and the jets were actually away favorites in that game.
I want this win. On paper it's a 49er win, but in my mind, it's a home game, and they can come through, i know they can, i'm feeling a little Jet weirdo Mojo right now. They do have a way of giving hope with big wins sometimes, let's not bow down and quake to the 49ers, they lost last week, the jets can win. Let me keep dreaming here, its fun.

seriously hoping for them to drop 3 in a row this week. it would be a significant hit to the team, especially if the loss were to come from the bills.

You can't predict football. I know that the 49ers are the strong favorite to win this game, but in the world of the NFL anything is possible. Either way, my expectations are very very low.
