Jets can win this game. Put Cromartie on Rice, and the other receivers they have aren't all that great. I think Braylon is still banged up. Will be interesting to see if he plays against us. The question will be how we score at all in this game. I worry because they have a good run defense (until last week), a good pass rush, and guys in the secondary who can force turnovers. Hopefully, we can find a running game like Minnesota last week. Obviously, we don't have Adrian Peterson, but we will need to get some yards on the ground. Defense will have to step up big time. Lynch always gave us issues in Buffalo. They're probably the better team, and they're at home where they are always good. But their offense won't run away with this game.
That would be a disaster for this front office. I honestly think they'd rather lose the game even if it means they're blown out.
Meh lotsa negativity here for what looks like a winnable game on paper. Its tough to play in Seattle we know this. Jets D is still tough and Seattle's O is underwhelming. Stop the skittles, contain Rice and play field position. I like a Jets win 16-10 with late game drama.
That can happen, but only if the Jets don't tackle Marshawn Lynch (possibility) and allow defensive/special teams touchdowns (also a possibility). If the Jets don't allow the Seahawks to score a non-offensive touchdown, then the Seahawks offense isn't particularly scary. Most backs who give the Jets trouble are the quicker, faster ones. Lynch is a matchup problem because the Jets have missed tackles this season, but unless the tackling effort is abysmal, I don't think Seattle will put up a big number on offense. The biggest issue is how will the Jets score.
Welp, I'll be in the thick of the hostile Century Link crowd come Sunday, rocking my Revis jersey. We have a punchers chance at this. Our pass D has only given up 3 TDs to WRs this season. If we can contain Lynch, mix it up on offense and score some points, gain momentum and quiet the crowd down, we could steal a win. Of course, the total opposite could happen as well!
Well, if Braylon Edwards gets decent stats this forum will explode, though he as been inactive or the past few weeks.
Still could easily be a blowout shutout. Maybe not 34-0, but 20-0. Marshawn Lynch, Sidney Rice and Golden Tate could do plenty on this defense, especially with the offense only holding the ball for 25 minutes.
Front page would only be two topics. 1 - Sanchez sucks vs. Sanchez is under appreciated. 2 - Why did we let Braylon go & can we bring him back There's gonna be some heated debates for sure.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda. I was there and while you may have felt like we were in the game, not too many people did. Never at any point in that game did I feel like we were coming back.
You know what's annoying as fuck about this season? The Jets may miss the playoffs this year despite beating 3 playoff teams. I'm assuming Miami and the Colts both make it...which may be dumb on my part. But the Jets beating the Pats at home or even Seattle wouldn't surprise me a bit anymore. They're such a fucked up, inconsistent bunch.
Seattle's "D" is going to tee off on Sanchez and there's nothing the Jets are going to be able to do about it.
