Too be honest, Luke is all but an Eagle in my mind. It takes a wacky Seattle pick (which probably won't be needed after the FA dust settles imo) for it to be derailed in the draft.

Personally I think if I were you, i'd go WR. Pairing this guy with Maclin and letting Jackson walk would be a coup if Luke is gone

God I hope not, if we are going to "fall in love" with any RB it should be Trent Richardson. If not I dont want to see one unless there is some big time value.

If we trade down with Chicago that could end up perfect. We would end up with most likely their 3rd which is #73 (I believe Carolina's former 3rd). That could allow us to get some great depth or possibly another starter. But thats probably the only team Id prefer trading down with.

That would be an NFL nightmare.

That's what I shall do my friend unless Jerryworld interferes as a means to piss Eagle fans off. :metal:

Martin is huge for ARI given Levi Brown is a FA to be.

Yeah Cowboys need help in a certain spot and a guy is sitting for them right in their laps...just a question of IF they go ahead and draft the guy.

everyone is talking about richardson falling due to lack of need, and Rb's are useless in the passing NFL... I figured maybe the gms of TGG annual mock might be crazy enough to buy in. Richardson is a top 5 talent, that might slide to 11. If he's available when KC hits the clock, no chance he isnt a chief.

Yore correct, but I do have this feeling that somehow, he could end up at 16.

Its most likely a 20% chance it even happens but the Jets always end up a bit lucky with some fallers, and I think youll be surprised how many teams may reach for certain players that shouldnt be there.

The story I read, reminded me so much of the Jeri-Kerl story last year right around combine time.

While I'd be pissed we drafted a RB in general (thats not richardson) this guy is probably my favorite in the draft. All the tools to be somebody very very good. He would be the perfect compliment to our duo of Greene and Mcknight, while Powell is sent packing. If he was a Jet, we would all be very excited im sure once he hits the field.

As far as a trade back, I just took another look, moving back with the Bears is fine, its only 3 slots. especially when 1 of those teams (cincy) likely won't be taking a guy we want. I'd rather drop back to #22 with Cleveland though. They come get a legit WR for their team (and RGIII) we get another 2nd. Like I said, we probably have 5 legit targets we'd be happy with at 16. You drop back 6 slots, still get a guy you wanted, and pick up a second rounder in the process (gets us that guy I think we want pretty badly...).

It works because of those 6 slots, 1 team picks twice and doesnt really need and OLB, 2 teams are 4-3 based. I would guess both WR's would go in that time, as well as 1 OLB and the OL I have in mind. Leaving us with our choice between 2 OLB's. I count that as a big time victory. especially since the OLB I expect to go off the board first in that scenario is the one I want the least for the Jets. He reminds me of Calvin Pace. We need a game-breaking pass rusher. The other two definately are stronger suited in that area.

can we move this conversation elsewhere so that we can use names of the undrafted? would be way easier lol

Jones never gave a damn about character concerns before, so i cant see him passing. This guy makes perfect sense to Dallas. Hell they might take him over DeCastro (if availble)

Thing is with CHI moving up(I'm the Bears GM) the targets they want are likewise falling for them and besides maybe NYJ, none of the teams ahead really pose a threat from taking the guy.

Got 3 legit options to go with them at the moment and they are a few picks away.

Its not impossible. But I just can't see 8 gm's passing on richardson.

I say 8, because after pick 7, its going to be almost impossible to try and justify he isnt the BPA. There is literally only one guy I would consider passing on Richardson for if both were available to the Jets at 16. Thats Justin Blackmon. I think everyone can agree Blackmon won't make it out of the top 6.

thats in part why I suggest the Browns as an alternate. Assuming they don't give up #22 in a trade to get RGIII, them moving up to get him a WR, probably even his own baylor team mate. Chicago could well take their, guy, or somebody might just throw in a curveball on them. They need a playmaker on offense, and one that RGIII knows and loves would be a great move for them to make.

If only Tanny could make it happen...

Oh yeah CLE can use one of these WRs available, I def agree with you. Just Holmgren and his GM don't usually like dealing up rather than deal down which they love to do.

Man the guy who got busted got pot must be kicking himself saying

"Why the hell did I smoke that?" Dude's probably feeling like an idiot if he got invited in NYC....

Then again his savior, the Cincy Bengals might help him out LOL

Well if you remember, Holmgren tried to trade his entire draft for Sam Bradford. If he gets his hands on RGIII, he will do what he can to get a WR. Hopefully that entails moving up with the Jets as those receivers start to slide...

Too be brutally honest, that dumbass probably only cost himself maybe 3 slots on draft day, maybe. Because I really cant see a certain overzealous owner passing him up with such desperate needs in the backend of his defense

Jenkins is a boost to that totally ailing secondary. He's not the guy i expected to be cb #2 off the board, but he definately will be well received in Dallas. Rob's going to have to teach him how to deal with the big tall WR's though. Luckily, the NFCE isnt exactly loaded with them. The only one of course being nicks at the moment.

I like the Jenkins pick for sure. He looked a bit sloppy in the Senior Bowl though. He always seemed to over commit and bite big time on pump fakes. Thats why I thought another certain pot smoking CB could still be chosen but who knows.

The Bengals, as BakerMaker said, most likely will be that kids savior. Although with the recent run ins with the law that team has had they may balk at picking him.
