Believe me, that was a much bigger consideration than LB or OT with what was available. Ultimately I decided that there were a few good RBs in this draft that I'd be happy with whereas I wasn't crazy about anyone after Dennard. Unless there's a big RB run, I'll get a guy I want somewhere.
I guess that puts Michael Hoomanawanui in a worse spot. Although he'd still be the best blocker out of the 3...
first TE gone. Bradford needs weapons badly. sanu would be perfect there, but since he's gone, grabbing him a security blanket TE is not a bad plan at all.
Megatron? There is only one guy who I have found and I had never heard about him till you hinted a second ago
Fleener is a solid pick, great hands and should help out Bradford. I thought they still might go CB or WR but TE is an area of need. Everyone in STL doesnt want Kendricks as their starter, so why not take one of the better TEs off the board?
its a good call. If there isnt a Wr of value available, go get the man a young Qb's best friend, the TE
He's a bit of a sleeper but IMO should be shooting up draft boards very soon. Right now its hard to tell where his stock is, some say he is a top 50 player, others say he is a 4th rounder. I think the combine will help this kid and he has some big play ability. Some team will fall in love with him. He's definitely a reach at 30 but a justified one IMO.
Tough to look down on Kendricks after 1 year of playing with instability at QB though. Yeah he had some ugly drops(IN particular vs PHI) but I just wonder how high new management would be on him. Hopefully neither guy gets neglected like Keller often did.
BTW, I finally completed this thread so guys can compare your drafts. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=70706
I feel like he can be taught. Kendricks has the talent without a doubt. I'll continue to draft him in fantasy football as a sleeper this year and every year for shits and giggles until it works out.
Nope!!!! The guy I'm talking about actually hits like a Mac truck. After the combine I'm pretty confident he'll be in the conversation for the late 1st round
Bingo!! Think about it, quite a few of defensive players from that school have been overrated the past couple of years.........some of them did stupid shit off the field. One player from last year was a possible 2nd rd pick (CB) before the draft and wasn't even drafted.
You could say that, they have very similar play styles. The kid average 30 yards per reception and was a beast on a team that barely passes. I think he came out too early but some team could strike gold with him.
You sure it's not pussies the size of mack trucks? I think I've seen that probably on Discovery Health.
I think a team could reach on him due to his pure athleticism. And I think from the combine, some team will definitely fall for his speed and athleticism. But when I watch him, he over shoots tackles SOOOO much, and he misses wrapping up on his tackles just as much which is a big flag for LBs.
