It was very well done schedule with few flaws, but apparently they put a Cardinals game at 11 a.m which proves its fake. It must been a pain in the ass making this because of all the factors (every team needing a primetime game, division games week 17, Jets-Giants not playing at same time, etc) If a single person made this, it is quite impressive because it takes many minds to make the actual schedule.
Yeah. It was one of the justifications of having the extra Thursday night game every week. Considering how bad the Thursday and Monday night games have been the last few years I do not see it watering down those games much more then it already has. Remember when MNF was the highlight of the football week? Now it's two teams out of playoff contention by week 6, Jon Gruden yelling "THIS GUY" and Ron Jaworski trying desperately convince people that Tyler Palko is worth watching.
What I suppose happened is that someone did have access to a partially completed schedule and then tried to fill in the blanks or that they made a simple computer program to do so. For example, in the computer program they could have made the rule "no more then three games in a row on the road". However the computer did not take in account byes. The Patriots for example have a stretch on their "Schedule" where they have 4 straight away games, however they are broken up by a bye. With a simple computer program it may not have recognized this.
Why someone would do this is beyond me. Who has the time to jerk themselves off making up fake schedules?
It's amazing, isn't it? Somebody out there has an awful lot of time on their hands......by the way the real schedule is to be released April 17th on ESPN.
The Schedule SHOULD be released next tuesday on the 17th if it followed the same pattern as last year. (9 days before draft on a tuesday).
