Jordan White attended North Ridgeville High School. He then went on to play at the Western Michigan University. He totaled 306 receptions, 4190 yards, and 32 touchdowns during his collegiate career. He was All-MAC First Team in 2010 and 2011. He was also WMU’s first consensus All-American in school history. He broke school records at WR that were previously set by current Green Bay Packers WR, Greg Jennings. Holy shit...
If White has solid hands for fair catches, I'll be excited with this pick. So frustrating watching so many Jets struggled just trying to catch punts.
Because they employ a staff of people who also have the exclusive job of scouting college players, and do so with what the team likes in a player in mind. Kiper doesn't put in any more time than the scouting departments of teams do, and he really probably has less access.
... As for Allen, according to NFL.com: "He can blanket-cover tight ends out of press which was his specialty at South Carolina." As for Davis, according to NFL.com: "He chases hard and fast every play and would be an excellent option to play outside linebacker..." It's almost like the Jets have to play against Gronk twice a year. I really like Cam Johnson (obviously), but I also like the Jets' late round picks. Obviously, they didn't think they could find a starter quality OT that can replace Hunter (unfortunately). I hope that if rTg is a really good guard, we let him play that position. But maybe he can slip over and play tackle. Just as long as they don't force it. Other than that, whether any particular player translates well into the NFL, I think the Jets drafted well for needs without reaching. What if Coples is top-ten talent? What if Hill is as good as measurables indicate, despite a non-conducive college offense? I saw the video highlights (granted, highlights only) of Davis, and that kid can fucking fly. That's something we can use in our LB corps. Allen? Like him better than the higher Bush pick. But let's hope both can play (and well) on the next level. Are there some players I would have rather picked (in certain circumstances)? Sure. But I don't hate any of our picks. Let's get 'em in camp and see what they can do.
Jordan White is very similar to Cotchery both in style of play and body type. If he produces half as much as Cotch did, the pick will of great value. I couldn't believe he wasn't drafted earlier.
... And Burfict will be a free agent. (So is my boy Chase Minnifield, best CB in the ACC... from a biased point of view). J-E-T-S
And the last player selected is ................. Chandler Harnish QB. Actually, heard some boos. How can you boo Mr. Irrelevant?
Right then, time to keep an eye on the page below: http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2012-nfl-undrafted-free-agents
