I'm sure he's a great talent, but to pass up a surefire RT in Massie is a gigantic mistake. I'm disappointed by this pick. Really really disappointed
Sanchez better make sure he gets good health insurance. With all the new pass rushing talent in the AFC East Sanchez is gunna get hit without a new RT.
Davis is a late 4th/early round 5 talent not a middle 3rd round talent. Jets shoulda traded back if they wanted this guy.
Demario Davis, OLB, Arkansas State Height: 6-2. Weight: 235. 40 Time: 4.53. Bench: 32. Vertical: 38.5. Broad: 10-4. Arm: 32. Projected Round (2012): 3-5. 4/25/12: Davis recorded 69 tackles with 10 tackles for a loss, three sacks and one interception in 2011. He was a late addition to the Senior Bowl, but Davis held his own against the better competition. He is fast and has some physicality. At the Combine, Davis showed off his rare combination of skills. He sprinted a very fast 40 time and was one of the leaders on the bench press. His vertical and broad jump measurements were excellent and showed his explosion. At his pro day, Davis had another quality performance. He is a sleeper prospect who could be a big reward in the NFL. 8/23/11: Demario Davis has been one of the best defensive players in the Sun Belt Conference during the past two seasons. In 2009, he made 82 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, three sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown. Last year, his tackle production dipped to 63 stops, 3.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. Davis needs to improve his tackle production in 2011 to help his draft stock.

I was pulling for Iloka, but Massie seemed like the best pick. Davis is fast (4.53), and he put up 32 reps (most among LBs). Don't know if that means much....
Yeah Rex is not a 3-4 guy. The Ravens and Jets just happened to be 3-4 teams with the personnel to play that front when he took them over. I'm guessing the Jets are going more 4-3 to get pressure on the QB. That's really the way you do it.
Our new ILB, could we see Scott traded tonight? I really would have liked Ronnell Lewis instead, but He is stout enough for the middle.
from some pat draft site when i googled him: Demario Davis is a physical specimen – When watching him on film two words come to mind: explosive and powerful – He is one of the fastest linebackers in this draft class (4.53) and is THE strongest, producing 32 reps on the bench press – Davis can truly play a sideline to sideline type game – Tracks down the ball carrier all over the field, has great closing speed – When he gets to the ball he finishes with power – Has the ability to play any linebacker position, from 4-3 ILB, to OLB and could also be utilized as an edge rusher in a 3-4 – One of the most powerful tacklers in the draft, punishes the ball carrier with each tackle, wraps up and drives into the ground
