He is stating the obvious but I gotta give it to him, Rex is not a head coach. He's been saying for years and he was right. I am still not listening to him because his opinion was based on hate and hope, not intelligence.
Francessa is in all his glory, he is absolutely loving this. I haven't heard him this happy in a long long time. The guy was so bummed when the Jets were respectable and the Giants 0-6. What a difference a few weeks make. But I can't say I disagree with him, Rex has done a terrible job team building particularly the offense. His defense is overrated everyone throws on us, and he's right. The way the Jets have wasted draft picks and traded defensive backs, this team should not have this lousy of a secondary. They've drafted zero offensive impact players in 5 years and Rex hasn't developed any offensive talent. He's a DC and a good one but not a head coach. He also stated that Geno is not the Jets future and I agree, the Jets QB is not on the team right now.
Francesa knows he can always get away with bashing Rex because we never had a QB capable of winning a SB.
Jets, Jets Idzik was smart to take the job with Rex as head man. It gave him a year to evaluate the talent and find good candidates to be a head coach. He drafted Geno in the second round so he can see if he is a good prospect. I don't think he will consult with Rex to see if he thinks Geno has a future. It seems that Idzik is smarter than Francesa.

Sounds like all the Rex apologists that can't move on from Rex making 2 AFC title games. As a Jets fan, it pains me to no end, but 2 World Championships are a good argument to keep a coach.

AND i think they have more interest at this point in their show than the fat man does. he has definitely lost quite a bit of his listeners.

Evan makes the 10 am show not listenable. I stopped listening to sports radio, its just horrible. The hosts, the callers, the amount of updates and commercials makes it impossible to enjoy, especially in the morning. Stern and Sirius music is all I do. Its quite freeing actually, I don't get all pissed off at Fatcesca, I have not even watched his Sunday show for 5 min. I heard Jim " Makes golf even more boring" Nantz is his big guest. R U kidding me?
Love Joe & Evan. Could listen to them all day. Their opinion comes from a fan perspective..which I appreciate.I don't always agree w/ Joe's opinion but you aren't gonna find a bigger Jet fan. Mike's show has become old & tired.
