Ed Reed I don't know if Ed Reed can play but it was funny to watch Mike approve the move and find that no Jet spokesperson would talk to him. Seldom is payback so quick.
actually they played very similar in those 4 playoff runs, the difference in the 4 title game apps btw the teams was the D/STs. 2007 title game, D picks off Favre in OT in FG range to set up GW FG. 2011 title game: Eli "leads" O to 10 pts in last 3 qtrs. of game, both scores were set up by muffed/fumbled punts where they got the ball deep in SF territory AND at the end of regulation Bradsahw clearly fumbled and they blew the whistle dead while in our game in Pitt mark's fumble easily could have been called an incomplete pass and who knows what happens after that?
the dog is out of the cage though now, they are relevant again and he will talk about them non stop until they are irrelevant. and the scary thing is a little bit of success may get them a few more wins in the coming weeks.
Is there a franchise in any sport w/ more luck than them? 0-6 and dead and the division is so bad they still have a chance b/c they beat 3rd string QBs every week.
its brutal, they wont win anything this year but it gives blow hards like mike a reason to talk about them again. i honestly dont mind the giants, i do mind that fatso is such a giants homer though.
I just hate seeing the giant fans emerge from their caves. If you run and hide when a team stinks stay hidden.
i dont think francesa cares about the giants other than the fact he would prefer they stay relevant so the mongos keep listening and calling up with pie in the sky playoff dreams. he is ridiculous pro certain guys like Eli or Coughlin but I don't get that impression when he talks about the team as a whole
Giants season is over at 7:30 this Sunday night. The Jets will win a tough one at Baltimore and the Chargers and Dolphins will both lose. We will be playing a huge game in December with the chance to end the Dolphins season while the Giants season ended a week earlier. This has been a real tough 4 days but come Sunday night, ITS OUR TIME!!!!!! Hang in there and avoid all media. Listen to music and Stern
Unbelievable. Fatty genuflecting about how wonderful Eli and Tom are. How they "pulled it together" (nevermind they're 4-6 and still not sitting in a playoff spot much like the Jets. Never mentioned how they pretty much played 2nd and 3rd stringers FOUR WEEKS IN A ROW The giants didn't pull it together. THEY PLAYED T. PRYOR, MATT BARKLEY, SCOTT TOLZIEN AND JOSH FREEMAN!
In response to a caller yesterday saying the Giants secondary is playing "great" Mike did point out the quareterbacks they played the last few weeks. He went on to say "Let's see how they do against Romo this week."
Mike actually did say the Giants have had the work of god on there side. When we beat the Chargers in 09 he said it was divine intervention although when a caller called about it years later he denied it and said god is not involved ever.
