And Mark Reynolds hit his first two homers on Friday and Saturday after I dropped him from my fantasy team on Friday.

Reynolds going homerless for that long is actually even more surprising than Pujols.

Orioles and Red Sox tied at 6 in the 14th. Both teams low on pitchers, especially because Buchholz was knocked out in the 4th inning and Hunter was knocked out in the 5th.

Alvarez had a 97-pitch shutout on Friday night. How common is it for a team to record 27 outs on less than 100 pitches these days? Not sure if there is an easy place to look up such a stat.

    Boston has used 8 pitchers.

Baltimore has used 9, including current pitcher Chris Davis (who's actually a first baseman).

Darnell McDonald warming up for the Red Sox.

Marlon Byrd thrown out at the plate, and we're going to 17.

Adam Jones hits a three run homer off McDonald and the Orioles are on their way to a win.

    Orioles win 9-6.

Chris Davis gets the win. Game-ending double play with 2 men on hit into by Darnell McDonald, who allows a three run homer and then ends his team's rally.

Adrian Gonzalez went 0 for 8, which included a 17th inning K against Chris Davis.

Cole Hamels suspended 5 games for throwing at Bryce Harper and then telling reporters so after the game.

Rod Barajas beats the Nats with a two run walkoff homer. Both teams blow saves in the 9th.

New rule change for next year?

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/baseball/mlb/05/10/pick.off.move.ap/index.html

A pickoff move that's been part of baseball strategy for years might get picked off next season.
Major League Baseball is poised to eliminate the fake-to-third, throw-to-first trick that teams routinely use.
The Playing Rules Committee has approved a proposal to make the move a balk, and MLB executives and umpires are in agreement. The players' union vetoed the plan for this season to discuss it further.
MLB is allowed to implement the change after a one-year wait. There's no telling yet whether that would happen if players strongly object.
Under the new wording, a pitcher could not fake to third unless he first stepped off the rubber. If he stayed on the rubber, as most all pitchers do now, it would be a balk.

^ weird that they're considering doing that. It's been a part of the game for such a long time (I guess spitballs were too, but we haven't had rule changes like this lately that I can recall, other than playoff structuring).

Strasburg 13 Ks over 6 innings.

    Now 3-0 with a 1.64 ERA

I agree. Unlike spitballs, this doesn't give pitchers THAT much of an advantage over base runners (if any).
