On 5dimes, if you do parlays, you can pick any spread you want. From -25 to +25 or something.. I was smart though, and made a few without Miami just in case. I was up almost 100 before that game ended, now I'm scared to check lol.
They outscored the Pelicans 33-9 in the final quarter...Ended the game on a 20-0 run... Back to .500...
I can't believe the Lakers won. They were down big with like 6 to play and I thought for sure it was over. but -1.5 couldn't have been much different than Miami ML, right?
they were talking about rules named after players. Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Dennis Rodman, etc. Then I think Kerr mentioned the "Craig Sager Rule", which is "don't dress like Craig Sager."
http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id...ch-north-east-texas-humor-research-conference So far, however, much of O'Neal's humor on the show has been unintentional. On the NikeTalk online forum, there's a thread titled "Shaq Has Made Inside the NBA Unwatchable." It runs 10 pages. Saturday Night Live skewered O'Neal, with his Inside the NBA co-analyst Charles Barkley impersonating his leaden and mumbly performance. The Onion ran a story titled "Shaq Spends Entire 'Inside the NBA' Segment Analyzing Size of Own Hands." http://niketalk.com/t/337872/shaq-has-made-inside-the-nba-unwatchable http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/the-nba-on-tnt/n13340/ http://www.theonion.com/articles/shaq-spends-entire-inside-the-nba-segment-analyzin,30204/
Lakers now 32-31, one game back of the Jazz. Man Kobe is putting on a show and they are on the rise. I doubted them, but they might sneak in.
Funny thing on my twitter. So a lot of "basketball" guys who reject advanced stats kept on arguing Memphis is bad off without having a clutch player like Gay. Gay "just makes shots" etc etc. Advanced stat people counter saying while you remember Rudy Gay hitting tough shots, he takes so many and misses so many he's really ineffecient and not clutch at all. Well today on twitter, all the advanced stats people I follow were having a ball at this Rudy Gay performance.
I'm a huge Kobe fan and know about D.Howards potential to carry a Team in the playoffs. Question to you and everyone else. 1. Should teams fear the lakers if the "Sneak" in( No bench bad trans D ...etc ) 2. Do you think Howard will be able to return to form by that time to actually make a run? He is critical for them doing anything Side not anyone know the time on Gasol's return? My thinking is they might be dead in the water if the Thunder are the #1 and not the Spurs;; maybe even both will just pose issues regardless because they are consistently better teams. I want to think they can make a top team scare but just cant make myself believe those lies your thoughts?
Personally, I think the Lakers are not getting past OKC or SA with Tony Parker. You nailed everything though, bad bench, bad transition D, nobody who can stop a PG. And to go on a run they need Howard to get back to 2009 potential which I don't see him doing. And Pop would use hack a dwight if necessary. I think the Lakers could take a game and take another to wire, but a healthy OKC/SA should win in 5 and at worst 6. 7 means the Lakers overachieved with this unit.
Ya I don't want to believe it but they just seem like they are fighting for pride now which is great but the top teams they will face are just explosive
The Lakers are only 3 out of the 6 seed, and if they keep pulling these wins out, they could get in AND avoid the Spurs and Thunder round 1. But does it matter really? It will be one of those 2 in the finals anyway.
I'd say like 80% it's Spurs or Thunder, but it's no guarantee, just as it's not a guarantee it's Miami out of the East.
Oh man good call on that 6 seed. Obviosuly like you said LA has to go off to get that 6 seed. I would say Thunder/Spurs are the favorites, again if Parker is healthy. But for the Lkaers, getting to the 6 could help them last another week or two. Maybe dwight finds himself or Pau comes back. Always want to extend your season
I didn't see either of the last two Lakers games. I'm watching Bulls/Lakers and they posted Kobe's stat lines. Wow. 42-12-7 41-12-6 Also eight straight games of at least 29 points, which I would assume will end today against the Bulls. Tough to put up big numbers against Chicago, considering their pace and defense. Durant should win the scoring title again, but Kobe could finish second if he feels like it.
