Ahahaha! Lebron tackling that guy is hilarious! He looks like a little kid playing with his brother.

errr, where do I attack the NFL? Because I think the refs suck? A lot of refs suck.

As for the NBA, if it's rigged, it's definitely not rigged against the Spurs, which should be fairly obvious.

How else can they have 4 titles since 99? Clearly Stern favors them considering that't second most in that span. I do wonder what made Stern switch allegiances between the Clippers and Lakers though?

Stern embraces the hate, Goodell runs away from it. Also Stern doesn't pretend about anything like Roger does with "safety". And there is a different between refs sucking and things being rigged. If the NBA was rigged why was NYK saddled with a bad team for 10 years? Why not give them a solid team year in and year out. Every owner, anonymously, sayings basketball is better when there is a good team at MSG. Why have the Clippers suck for so long? Give the Lakers an in house rivalry. Why in the world did Dallas win a title instead of giving Lebron his title? Why in the world would Stern reward Cuban? If it's rigged Stern is doing a terrible terrible job at. Also Stern embraces the hate and his abuse of power is far less than Roger's. He's had his share of victories, fines for flopping, dress code, less complaining to the refs, etc.

What a slump they are in.

Exactly. Still love the conspiracy theories before the draft where nobody was right but after it happened everyone claimed to be right.

why have lebron and kobe never played against each other in an NBA finals? It looks like it will never happen.

Here's what's funny about the Ewing thing. It only was a story because the coveted player actually went to a huge market for once.

Think about the clear-cut #1s that everyone wanted:

    Tim Duncan: San Antonio
    LeBron James: Cleveland
    Dwight Howard: Orlando
    David Robinson: San Antonio
    Shaquille O'Neal: Orlando
    Patrick Ewing: New York

So one time in the lottery, a big market gets the player and it must be a conspiracy. What about all the other times?

Slowly and slowly Lebron is becoming likeable again. Still I do not know if I can completely get over how he handled the Decision and his Miami entrance.

I disliked LeBron a lot his first year in Miami, and was happy when he lost. Then the second year, I felt disappointed for him because he was so good but not hitting it. Then the playoffs came, Wade disappeared and he went into Boston in game 6 and I started liking him. He's so much fun to watch.

Now I'm just in awe in what he can do on a court. He's too good.

multiple Clippers attempt to call timeout when they didn't have any. Refs fail to call the technical.

As a result, Crawford had a shot for the win, but missed.

The pendulum has swung for LA, who are now really struggling without Paul.

The Ewing theory is interesting because watching the video it looks like Stern takes a little extra time to put that envelope in the case and intentionally bumps it against the side to give it a dent so it's easily retrievable. It would be something else if that was actually true. I mean, it makes sense to send good players to big markets for money, I could see how the league benefits, but who knows. Honestly I think a draft lottery is dumb. They should just go in order of worst to best like most sports.

    Lick my ear grease.

NBA draft lottery is the lowest hanging fruit there is. True proof that the game is fixed, but Stern's agenda changes like the wind.

Are you looking for me to admit that the Spurs got favorable wind a decade ago?

    Maybe they did.

Doesn't make the piece of shit commissioner look any cleaner.

    Clean out your own ears.

Every conspiracy theorist who thinks the NBA is rigged focuses on the lottery. The teams that benefited most from the draft lottery were San Antonio and Orlando.

Before last year's lottery, there was a thread where people said Stern would "rig it" for various teams for various reasons. Everyone was wrong.

I'm reminded of corrupt ref Tim Donaghy, who claimed he could predict a staggering percentage of spreads correctly. So he went "tout", selling his picks. He was horrible, and scammed a lot of people out of money. Guy was a clueless liar.

Yup. NBA is clean because a gambler said so. They can't have any other motives for fixing.

You are such a boring human being.

Your response fails to address what I was saying.

And whether or not I am boring has no bearing on this discussion.

Every angle you take is from the aspect of gambling. My post addressed it quite well.

The Ewing theory means something completely else if you read bill Simmons.

Also the lottery makes sense. It's way too easy to tank in the nba and one player can easily change a franchise. The lottery guards against this, not sure how else to do it to stop this.

If you want to say the Reffing sucks and each ref has a tendency
I agree, but its hard to say its rigged. What do you point to? Point shaving could be a better argument but still hard to figure out to show how.

There's way too many inconsistencies to say the league is rigged. The Donahue things proves it. He tried to predict the outcomes of games saying they are rigged and failed miserably. And nobody, not one person or owner has complained about it? Then does the NBA have Ernest and young in on it too as they watch the lottery process?

There's not substantial argument for it except "my team isn't doing well so the nba is rigged".

I buy the refs suck, they're old, they have tendencies, and crowds can affect them. I buy all of that. That I agree with.
