Also did anyone see Howard rotate correctly in LA, swat away a bucket while his team was down 3, except he swatted it straight to Gallo on the Nuggets who drained the dagger 3? Sums up LA especially since Kobe dropped 18/22 LA points in the 4th I believe.

You act like he needed to formulate the perfect angle to push Jackson. He was running toward the guy to contest, saw he didn't get there in time, threw that elbow directly in the area of the waitress.

You typed all of that shit for nothing. Because we both know the truth.

Maybe he didn't mean for Jackson to get hurt, but I don't give a shit. Amar'e is a turd with arms and legs.

And we agree. That's the crux of it. He didn't try to hurt him. He gave a push, like almost every player does. There's the push, the low fly by which Kobe and JR like, there's the elbow tap which is caught now, there's the feet underneath which dirty players do, there's the jerseys brush. Nothing harmful about it. If you want to complain, I believe Novak tried to hard foul someone and almost threw him to the ground? I think that was this game.

ANDDDDD Rondo being Rondo, bumped an official again, suspended a game again.

The Washington Wizards are 5-28 with wins against, Miami and OKC now. Also wins against Orlando, New Orleans, and Portland.

They were playing in MIA last night, came home to play OKC, and beat them on a final second shot.

In the same night as tonight, NO just beat the Spurs somehow. That leaves NO at 9 wins, and on a two game winning streak. Also interesting, NO will play their 4 straight game agaisnt a Texas team, and there are 3 Texas teams.

season is over for the Lakers.

Howard, Gasol, and Hill are all out indefinitely, leaving them with no big men.

    They play at Houston tonight.

Had they stayed healthy, I think they would've been in the 3-5 range in terms of seeding.

Now? I don't see how they make the playoffs. They're already 3.5 games behind the current 8th seed, Denver.

What are they going to do? Have Artest play power forward and Sacre play center? And what about the bench?

They had three big men, and they lost them all in one game.

They need to trade Gasol. They have to come down on their asking price or else this season is over.

Oh man that team was top heavy as it was. D'antoni needs to go small ball I guess and have them run as much as possible. IF they stayed healthy from this point on, I don't think they could have reacched the top 3 of the West. Who knows now. They need to win I think 30 out of their next 49 games to hit the 45 win mark. That usually is the 8 seed wins amount in the West.

well they were the thinnest team in the NBA. They went from having six NBA players to three, including zero NBA big men.

Yeah they'll play a lot of small ball tonight I'm sure but they don't even have the personnel for it.

And it would be one thing if it were gradual, like they'd been practicing without guys. No, they lose three in one fell swoop.

Definitely not. I think they had a chance at a 3 or 4 seed if they were healthy all season (obviously unlikely). But they've had very bad injury luck. Gasol and Nash have missed a lot of games, and backup PG Blake has only played seven games. The only regular they could afford to lose was Artest. Without Nash, they had to play scrubs like Duhon.

Oh I misread you then. Yeah healthy all season, 3 seed seems likely.

Is Jamison still healthy? So a starting lineup of Nash, Kobe, MWP, Jamison, and Sacre? With a bench of Duhon, Meeks, Ebanks, Earl Clark and no C? They need to grab someone off their D League squad.

Apparently they had sent Sacre down to the D League. I thought he was with the team. So they're recalling him and he's going to start (considering he's the only tall guy they have. I don't see any other options).

Yeah my post meant had the Lakers stayed healthy from the beginning of the season, not from this point forward. It's far too late for them even if they were at full strength and playing well. Best they could've hoped for was a 7 or 8. Now, even that is out of the question.

Lakers should give Kobe and Nash the road trip off as well. Just play guys from off the street. Smush Parker, Adam Morrison, Billy Crystal, Bill Simmons, etc.

Jamison is healthy but he's a bum so he hasn't been playing.

Since Howard and Gasol will be out for a while, the Lakers should just pick up any young big men who have been waived this season.

    Jarvis Varnardo
and Samardo Samuels are two such options.

Yeah the Lakers are in a bind. As contrary to the stats say, Howard was never 100% back from that back surgery yet. Well hopefully we see Kobe hero ball it. Maybe he'll reach back and turn the clock back to those 50-60 point games. I don't think anyone has dropped 50 this year yet.

Lakers could go on a run, but also brings up the interesting theory of Howard not resigning in LA. That was supposed to be a given, but will be interesting if he wants to stay. That also may slow down any Gasol trades in case Howard doesn't resign.

the stats would support the idea that he wasn't 100% back (pun).

I'm excited for the game. It starts in a few minutes.

I want to see how Pringles handles not having a NBA roster and how Kobe reacts. Will he go off?

The betting line had his over/under point total at 33.5, which is higher than I've ever seen (I've been looking at prop lines since last season), but it also might've been set too low.

3 points higher than his average. I would take the over. He is going to be the main focus and the only focus probably.

Jamison, Sacre, and Artest is what the Lakers are using inside because they didn't get anyone else.

They need to bring someone in. This is crazy. A small forward, a center who hasn't played this season, and Jamison, who's been benched for weeks.

It's Fan Night, so C-Webb is on for short bursts. Someone tweeted in asking if he'd be interested in coming back to play in the Pringles system if the Lakers gave him a month to work out.

He said no, this team sucks, and if he came back he'd want to jump on a winner like the old dudes tend to do (paraphrasing).

Nash just got to 10,000 assists.

Lakers up 62-59 at half. Haven't watched it, but judging by the score they are playing some run n gun D'Antoni style?
