With the 2nd round selection, I pick..................

Richard Wagstaff "Dick" Clark- 82 years old- Former host of a show your parents may have watched, since that time, merely a prop for Ryan Secrest to parade around on New Years Eve.

Hate to say it because it a ruthless and brilliant pick, but she doesn't have a wiki...

I'm not sure... I'm just jealous I didn't pick her first so I'm grasping for something.

Generally, if someone has a wikipedia page or has name recognition, they can be selected. Thus, famous scientists, dictators, socialites, etc. CAN be selected.

    - I think it's a stretch ; BRILLIANT , but a stretch

The Isabella Santorum pick has to be allowed. I would suspect that most if not all of the deathpool participants knew of her regardless of no wikipedia page. She was on my list and I'm glad talisaynon took her as the thought of hoping for the death of someone's 3-year-old daughter (notwithstanding my personal opinion of the father and the bodacious amount of possible points) was make me queasy. Bold pick!

It's been 12 hours since Barry has been on the clock! Should I make my pick?

Hehe, yeah, that one pick could win the whole thing. I didn't consider the wiki thing, also the idea of a 3 year old being a celebrity is an odd idea... but I'm not hating or anything. :)

It's not an official ruling by any means but just an opinion, I would say no on the Isabella Santorum pick for this reason. It's a celebrity death pool meaning children of celebrities (unless of course in the case of people like Will Smith's little snotnose punching bag are celebs themselves) should not count. If we allow her to stand then we kind of defeat the purpose of the pool. Would anybody consider Obama's kids to be celebrities? I wouldn't, they're just the kids of the Pres.

Now morally I've got no objection to the pick, we're all sick fucks for even being involved in something like this but I'd say the 3 year old daughter of a presidential candidate would not qualify as a celeb. She's not in TV or movies or commercials, she doesn't have a song and she's not a socialite slutbag. I'm just throwing it out and honestly maybe I'm just over analyzing this thing but I think we should say no. BTW do we have some type of ruling authority on this?

Get a new pick. She is not a celebrity.

BTW, FrankTheTank will be kicked out if he doesn't make a pick by his next selection. IF any of you can find a replacement for him I'll kick him out immediately.

Cool. My pick to replace her is Jean Beliveau, Montreal Canadien hall of famer.

Recently hospitalized after a stroke. Previously abdominal aneurisyms removed in June.

    Age 80.

I agree for the most part but I just want to note I think members of the First Family are, by definition, celebrities. They're too prevalent not to be.

I realize this really matters to no one but myself... Especially now that a new pick replaced the three year old, but I seriously was thinking about dropping out after that pick. It's too much.

I think colleen brings up a point. As sick as this pool is, please no one under the age of 17. I don't want to see terminally ill kids being picked.
