Impressive. I am in downtown Brooklyn and without a car, so it would be a shlep. Otherwise I'd be tempted.

But I am all in for City FC

Man City v Chelsea sells out 46,000 seats in 27 minutes at Busch Stadium, and 39,000 tickets at Yankee Stadium for exhibition games. Soccer is never going to work in America.

St Louis like Portland has a long standing tradition of soccer. The University of St Louis used to be a dominant force at the college level. They won a record 10 titles between the late 50's and mid 70's. No other school has won as many. To be honest I am surprised MLS hasn't entered the market as the city has shown they support their franchises. They also would have a natarul rivalry with Chicago.

im sure they will eventually get a team to St Louis, the NY deal happened fast and they probably jumped on the chance to get approval with Man City's and Yankees backing

I'm not a huge MLS fan but I would love to see it get to a point where there are enough teams to promote and relegate. Maybe even incorporate some of the larger markets that have NASL teams like NY (why not include the Cosmos as London has many many teams) no reason why NY can't have 2 or 3 more. Add San Antonio, Raliegh-Durham, St Louis, and then add expansion teams to Baltimore (I believe there are rumors of a Crystal Palace Baltimore returning to NASL), Las Vegas, Atlanta, Phoenix, Austin and another in Chicago.

That would give the MLS about 30 teams. If you can add 2 more you could do two leagues of 16 teams with promotion and relegation. It would have to be a gradual thing as you don't want to go into markets that wouldn't support it but do away with the divisions and just do it the way every other league in the world does it. You can still have your playoffs if you want and just seed the top 8 teams regardless of reigon.

It's obvious there are some Euro clubs that see an oppurtunity to develop players here and let them play against decent competition otherwise Man City would have no interest in a venture and bigger clubs wouldn't play exhibitions against squads like Real SL and Chicago.

You also get Spain vs Ireland at Yankee Stadium.

Then Jetlife Stadium will host one of the semifinals of the Guinness International Champions Cup which has Chelsea, A.C. Milan, Valencia, Everton, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus and somehow the LA Galaxy. I'm going to be in New Jersey that weekend so I might consider going if tickets aren't too expensive.

It's a very busy few weeks for the US National Team, they got rocked by Belguim last night (too be fair no Cherundelo, Altidore or Bradley) but the defense looked very suspect and they didn't play an overall good game against a pretty good WC Caliber team. They have Germany on Sunday who rocked Ecaudor in Ecuador yesterday. Then 3 qualifiers, one in Jamaica, 1 in Seattle and one in Salt Lake. Then they have the Gold Cup...

Dam... never saw that coming until rumors began. Figured he'd want to stay in Spain or maybe coach a national side. He seems like the kind of guy who wants new challenges not go backwards. Good for Chelski and bad for the other sides in the PL.

Happy for Mourinho. I like the guy. It will be an interesting Euro Super Cup. Mourinho versus Pep Guardiola. Can't wait.

I've seen rumors about Pepe Reina going to Barca.....considering his dad played there I don't see how he could say no. I wonder what price Liverpool would get and more importantly who they would bring in to replace. I'd love to see Tim Howard but I doubt it.

They wouldn't get huge money for Reina, goalies don't tend to be hugely expensive relative to their more glamorous counterparts.

Maybe if you stopped biting people and calling them niggers, Luis, the media wouldn't bother you so much.

Vile prick of a man and a stain on the sport.

Liverpool don't won't to let this guy go. I can't stand him. He's a great goal scorer but a disgusting person both on and off the pitch. Fuck him. I wish Liverpool would sell this headache. Let him go to Spain/ Germany wherever but get him the fuck out of Merseyside.

The problem is you and I both know that regardless of what the Reds do it will come back to bite them in the ass.

Reds got a absolute gem in Coutinho...I am still baffled that Inter let him go and upset that Arsenal did not even look into it.

Their manager is pretty good too...I'd sell Suarez and be done with it, he is hurting the image of Liverpool and I would assume he is at a prime purchase price at the moment.

    I don't consider that to be a problem. ;-)

I just want Suarez out of the English game and preferably out of the sport altogether.

So Becks wants to bring MLS to Miami.... are you kidding me? What a horrible idea. If anything they should put the team in Orlando but Miami has already failed.
