If Wigan are relegated they will become the 1st team from the top league to ever win the FA Cup and be relegated in the same season.

They also become the 43rd different team to win the FA Cup

Wigan in a whole heap of shit now... 4 points back of Sunderland and 5 behind Villa. That own goal they gave up a few weeks ago against Spurs is going to bite them in the ass. They were the better side and deserved the 3 points but with Arsenal on Tuesday and the emotion of winning the FA Cup I think they're toast.

Good. Poxy little shithouse club that have no place being in the Premier League, and wouldn't be but for Whelan's money. Teams that can only draw 15,000 fans in the top flight should fuck off back to League One where they belong.

I'm sorry, I think perhaps you didn't quite understand what you saw. Watford actually made it to the Playoff Final after the sporting gods looked down and said, "What pain and misery can we inflict upon the blue filth? What would be the worst thing we can do to them? Let's give them an opportunity in injury time to get to the Final, then let's give Almunia the power of the gods to save their illegitimately gained opportunity, and then let's take the hopes and dreams of those scum and dash them upon the deified inspiration of Troy Deeney. It's still not as unpleasant as they deserve, but it's getting late and we have to get over to Toronto to build up their hopes before destroying them in a couple of days' time. It'll do."

Elton John owned Watford in the 70's at one stage, probably the first celebrity owner of a football club in the UK

I'm not sure which is more depressing, him getting sacked for finishing second in the league or me not being surprised by it.

Obviously with the Pellegrini rumors this wasn't a shock. I was never a big fan of his at Inter, but he certainly did channel some of that oil money successfully last year. Oh well, that's the drawback of working for the rich and not the poor I suppose. People want a continual return on their investment.

I suppose this shoots to hell that nice little pipedream I was enjoying of Napoli being able to get Dzeko back in any Cavani transfer.

Just goes to show streaks matter not in football as Brighton who had not lost at home since the FA Cup in January and had been unbeaten in their last 10 lost at home to Crystal Palace in the Championship Playoff. Palace had only won 1 of their last 10 matches coming in. I was pulling for Brighton but between Watford and Palace I'll be pulling for Watford.

With a loss or draw today Wigan will also be relegated, that game is in about half hour.

And after 8 seasons in the Premiership Wigan will be relegated to the Championship. They get crushed 4-1. Really only thing left for the last day of the season is who will take 4th.... Arsenal or Spurs.

Home to his mum's and then to Spurs training ground. He ain't going nowhere in this window, regardless of CL qualification.

That said, come on you Barcodes.

Hopefully he stays put. What will be interesting is Wayne Rooney has asked to be transfered. He didn't even dress in Man U's win over Swansea the other day. I'd like to see MLS make a psuh from him if ManU makes him available.

I saw that. Him and Moyes don't have the best of relationships after the way Rooney left Everton...but he's still way too top flight for the MLS unfortunately. If he really is a a available I could see him going to Bayern or Juve. I'd have to think Man U will resist keeping him in the BPL.

He's not a bright enough guy to cope with moving to another country with a different language, I don't think. Not saying it won't happen, but if it does I don't think it will work out.
