If you are predicting this game, I think you have to pick the Ravens. They are at home, Jets coming off bad loss in Oakland with Mangold possibly out. It makes sense to go that way. But if you feel the Jets can't win the game, you are crazy. Jets-24 Ravens-13.
We need to attack the middle of their OL. Matt Birk is coming off of injury and Andre Gurode is playing only his 2nd game at LG.
I have been real busy this week so i missed alot but what is the impression on Mangold. I know hes questionable but is it leaning towards hes going to play or sit??
Not sure yet. They will likely have him test it out tomorrow before the game and make a decision based off of that. My guess is that he won't play. It's tough to say Mangold won't get in there because he's one tough SOB, but I just don't see it happening.
Flacco loves to go to Ed Dickson on 3rd downs. Ray Rice is obviously a big target as well followed by Anquan Boldin
Important game. Very important. This would be a very nice win for the Jets. Winning this game would go a long way towards showing us that the 2011 Jets are going to win the AFC.
Agreed. Saying this is a huge game would be an understatement. They lose this game, they're staring at 2-2 with a trip to NE next week. Followed by home games against Miami (always play us tough) and San Diego. A big statement win on national television Sunday night would give us a huge boost of confidence going forward.
of course I want to win but in the big picture this really isn't a huge game and in a way it doesn't really matter if we win or lose. it's all about winning next week. let's say we win. great. so we go in 3-1 next week and so do the pats. if we don't win next week we'd be trailing them by a game, be 0-1 in the division and of course 0-1 head to head and chasing them again as usual. even if we lose tonight and come in 2-2 as long as we beat the pats we'd both be 3-2 but they'd be 0-2 in the division and 0-1 against us head to head. we would be in the driver's seat. This would be a good win, but the game we really NEED to win is next week so nobody should flip out if we happen to lose tonight. with that said, even better if we win both so hopefully we'll get it done tonight.
The Jets D could not stop Run DMC, It will be interesting to see if they can at least slow Ray Rice down. Doubtful. Hopefully Flacco throws 3 picks and Sanchez and the passing game can keep us in this. It would be nice to see some kind of ground and pound but I'm not expecting much.
Agreed but I would like to see a huge effort and some of the issues corrected. Even if we play an A game on the road we could lose. If we get blown out and play poorly I think that would be significant.
