God I hope Cam goes off the board that early. It would be GREAT for business for my sister and her husband.

I wasn't entirely high on him before either but lately he's grown on me.

He has prototypical size, is mobile for his size, and has a strong arm. (Does this mean shit if he doesn't have basic fundamentals? No, but it doesn't hurt to have these traits)

He has good footwork, but sometimes makes poor decisions when he tries to force things. That and playing in a spread offense are his biggest knocks, but those issues are coachable.

He also reportedly has good leadership skills and work ethic, which is a must for your new face of the franchise.

Also, when you have Rusty Smith as your QB and no trades are allowed it's impossible not to make a slight reach for the one position that is reached for, quarterback.

Just a quick question, to no one specifically, what type of approach are you taking?

Are you drafting based on who they should draft, or who you think the HC would draft?

You are the GM so draft based off of your opinion.

I agree with 624, you're the GM, it's your team.

Alright, was just wondering if we were shooting for accuracy or not. Makes my pick easier.

With the top WR in AJ Green off the board, Washington goes with the next best thing...(not a homer pick)

Julio Jones was an excellent pick for the Skins.

S Moss has seen better days and the rest of the receivers are almost no names.

Too bad Newton and Gabbert were gone.....Grossman and Beck don't gine me a lot of confidence.

Safety is a very weak position, but clearly will have to be addressed later in the draft.

There were 3 names I was juggling around, one who I think Washington will actually pick, but I couldn't see any contributing early other than Julio Jones.

QB is still a hole, but after the first 2 QBs were picked, I couldn't picture the others as instant impact, especially with average WRs at Washington.

With 2 picks only, I can't even scratch the surface of Washington's needs...

    Why?

    Explain!!

I gave my opinion that Moss is done and the talent is weak at WR.

I like Jones to the skins, I just feel bad for the team I think most people are going to select Jones. I wonder where they are going to go now.

I like Smith to the Texan's...great pick Code!!!

Phillips is going to change the defense to a 3-4. Texans could use a 3-4 rusher.

The thing about the Redskins is that they need help at every position. Seriously, at least the Panthers have some pieces in place the Redskins have so little, that pick could have been any other position and it would have made sense. But you might as well pick Jones and upgrade that bad receiving corps

    Thanks

Smith is who I want the Jets to pick as the next pass rusher (probably not gonna happen), I just think he is destine to flourish in a 3-4.

I personally like the way the draft has gone so far, you guys are doing a good job. I am mildly surprised to see Newton first QB off the board, but with this QB class I suppose I wouldn't be too surprised to see any of the top 4 QBs go first at this point. I think its going to depend on the team and who they fall in love with.

I like the Jones pick to the Skins since since Moss is nearly done being a starting receiver in the league, maybe 2 more years before he starts to lose his speed, and subsequently is relegated to the slot. The only other weapon they have is really Cooley and that needs to change. Although I could see Snyder becoming enamored with an unnamed QB who has all the tools and none of the brains to succeed at the NFL level.

The only pick I so far am curious about is Houston's. I think Smith is a good player, but I don't think he is a top 10 guy. I realize that Houston is moving to a 3-4 and needs some pass rushers but I personally think there are a few out there still who might make better options for Houston. At least one guy in particular who is still on the board who I think should be going ahead of Smith. That said you still filled a need for the team, so good work. We just have different ideas on which player is the better prospect thats all.

Quite curious to see where one guy is going to go. Word out of the senior bowl is that he is expected to go top 5, and plenty of the draft gurus on the board don't feel he is worthy, so I am curious to see where this guy goes.

Yeah, I mean that's where my thought process is. They don't even have a QB so WR seems further down on their need list to me.

EDIT: Also, WW, I will get into my other reasons at a later date.
