I was going to take a QB...but I didn't want you guys accusing me of being the real Josh McDaniels.
E has being talking about Green for a long time.....I still bet he considered Fairley for a brief moment
You think Carolin will keep Smith? I don't think so even if they don't draft Green. I see them trying to trade him to a contender for whatever they can while he has some value. He sis a waste of veteran talent on that team and they organization will do what is best for everyone (as long as all the labor stuff gets organized on time)
It wouldn't shock me if they tried Smith inside and put Green and Gettis/LaFell outside. He could do some major damage, even as he gets older. Hypothetically speaking of course...
If the Bengals ended up with Bowers (and he panned out) they could have a great pass rush built for the future.
The Bengals were hoping for Green or Fairley, but Bowers is a hellva player as long as he plays like he did in 2010, not 09.
I still want to know the plan for Michael Johnson is, is he a DE or an OLB(listed on the depth chart as both)? And is that versatility really needed in a 4-3?
Jeff Ireland suddenly has a desire to ask you if your mother is a whore as he goes back to look at his draft board. Nice Pick, I'm not sold on a QB to the Cards because I think they want a Vet to compete now, but its not far out of wack at all. It would be great to see them addd a vet and have Cam to develop for the future.
Not sure if BUF would go secondary before front 7. I think they still hope McKelvin can do something with a pass rush up front and McGee can get healthy and perform on the opposite side. I think they might go with Bowers just to get a pass rush because they desperately needed one this past year. Peterson is still a hell of a player though and would be a pest for Sanchez to go against.
Especially after the recent departure of Jeff Fisher, the Titans needed someone other than Rusty Smith to be the future of their franchise. Blaine Gabbert had to be my choice. I was in a slightly difficult situation because a couple guys I was targeting when just before me (which I expected to happen), but I had to jump at the opportunity to get this franchise it's QB of the future. With the emergence of Kenny Britt and Jared Cook, and of course Chris Johnson...it helps to get an NFL Ready QB with lots of upside. I considered going with a couple different options, but they were of similar value and I had to go with the most important position on the field.
IMO Blaine Gabbert is the most overrated prospect in the draft and I wouldnt touch him with a 50 yard stick, at least not in the first round. He comes from a spread, and he has accuracy problems with questionable footwork. No Thank You EDIT: I can see why you made the pick and its not unreasonable to think the Titans would make the pick, I just think Gabbert is not going to be that good
